Your Role The Associate Account Director is a master of coordination, communication, and demonstrating high potential in core business leadership skills. You will understand the agency portfolio of offerings and how to apply them to solve client business problems. You will partner with and own the relationships with client stakeholders. You are a key agency driver who works to keep the agency operations moving along. You skillfully simplify the complex, understand connected data environments, and help mold the future of integrated technology environments. You can extract insights and actions from analytics and data, crafting the story of our performance.
Your Responsibilities
Assist the account leadership team in all aspects of day‑to‑day execution of projects.
Act as a direct liaison between clients, cross‑functional leadership, internal team members and other agency partners – inclusive of managing possible frictions or misalignments.
Actively listen to clients and agency partners and articulate priorities back to the internal team with clear, documented directions on next steps.
Build and foster client trust and effectively manage their feedback and requests against the scope.
Build strong internal relationships with key agency partner stakeholders.
Proactively manage workflow effectively in partnership with a Project Manager to ensure timelines and deliverables are met and can comfortably course‑correct if needed.
Support and protect the team from any challenges and issues from the client and partner agencies. Must be able to de‑escalate issues.
Manage projects autonomously and actively support Account Director and VP Group Account Director in management of more complex projects and collaborations with other agency partners.
Develop kickoff briefs for new and incoming projects to align against client goals and business objectives.
Be comfortable in working across a variety of customer experience touchpoints and be the integration point for cross‑functional teams.
Responsible for overall client satisfaction and service/product quality.
Maintain laser focus on detail and proof client‑facing materials.
Build relationships and establish open communication streams with other agency partners (IAT).
Openly accept feedback (work performance and/or team performance) and ability to course‑correct.
Stay calm and focused under pressure and skillfully manage communication and deliverables across different teams.
Help co‑author and manage strategic roadmaps, priorities, and learning agendas for our efforts.
Required Skills/Experience
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
6+ years’ experience in CRM marketing, email messaging, advertising, and/or digital marketing.
Previous integrated marketing account experience and/or CRM experience a plus.
Previous experience working on MarTech, insights, analytics, and customer data a plus.
Experience in working on a military or government account a plus.
Possess excellent planning, organizational, and problem‑solving skills.
Excellent team player with outstanding communication, written and presentation skills.
Basic exposure and knowledge of technology (platforms, systems front/back end, user flows, product release schedules, etc.) a plus.
Exposure to multi‑channel AI‑based decisioning technology a plus.
Ability to multitask and handle a variety of cross‑functional projects.
Ability to build relationships and communication flow with clients and internal teams.
Strong strategic skills and ability to develop storytelling decks that marry metrics and data insights with key project objectives, approach, and actionable recommendations. Experience working with Strategists and/or Data Analysts, and technology departments a plus.
Can effectively manage cross‑functional team members to ensure there’s collaboration, communication, and alignment.
Ability and experience in pivoting and course‑correcting when challenges arise; comfortable partnering with internal team members to find alternate solutions and manage timelines and expectations.
Experience working collaboratively with multiple agency partners and building relationships.
Can champion the work we do for the client and also serve as a voice for them internally.
Eagerness to learn and comfortable asking questions to build knowledge of the army business and the inner workings of internal teams.
Our Hybrid Work Model RAPP’s current hybrid model is designed to enable in‑person connections and collaboration that is core to our culture, while also supporting flexibility for all employees. As such, we have the option to work from home two days per week, if we’d like.
