Location: Remote, based in Birmingham, AL or vicinity
Expected Compensation: $80,000-$90,000 ($25,600 base salary + commissions)

Job Summary: As the sales, service, and marketing representative of Mizuno Golf, the Territory Sales Manager is responsible to sell, promote, service, and market the Mizuno brand to green‑grass shops, off‑course retailers, and national account merchants at the “Top of the Pyramid”. The Territory Sales Manager ensures the proper channel mix within the account base (e.g., on-course, off-course, national account) in alignment with company strategy and adhering to the corporate philosophy of quality, commitment, and service.
Supervisory Responsibilities: None.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Work under the direction of the Regional Sales Manager to ensure major account sales and service programs are executed at all store locations within territory, leading to steady growth of sales revenue and market share of the company’s golf products.
Develop annual territory sales budget and goals (including distribution, product category sales, and total sales volume) in collaboration with sales management.
Achieve annual territory sales goals.
Improve sell-through in the assigned territory by working closely with targeted retailers to create a high level of awareness of the Mizuno Brand and foster demand for Mizuno products.
Plan and manage a rigorous and effective territory activity schedule (including monthly/weekly travel, individual account visits, demo days, fitting experiences, grassroots promotions, and the like) to develop a highly visible presence and reputation as an asset to customers’ business.
Perform 100+ events between yourself and a fleet of tech reps in your territory to grow brand awareness and create grassroots sales with consumers.
Provide product education to on-course retailers, off-course retailers, and national account stores to promote improved product merchandising and brand visibility within the territory.
Schedule, manage, and attend the required number of demo days, as determined by the Regional Manager.
Build a brand ambassador program to promote and sell the Mizuno brand through the influential PGA Pros in the territory.
Participate in the communication and collection of past due receivable balances from territory dealers as needed.
Support in-store activations and other events for Strategic and Key Accounts as needed.
Manage the allocated Travel & Expense and Promotional budgets.
Complete and submit weekly sales activity reports and expense vouchers to sales management.
Understand the Strategic Priorities and incorporate them into all activities.
Embrace and abide by the Mizuno Brand Culture.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Bachelor's Degree Preferred
3+ years within the Golf Specialty and/or Sporting Goods Industry as a sales associate or manager
Exceptional interpersonal and communications skills (written and verbal)
Master level golf club fitting knowledge
Passionate, motivated personality dedicated to engaging the customer
High degree of motivation with a demonstrated ability as a self-starter
Ability to work and succeed in a team environment
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (specifically Excel and Outlook)
Must travel 80% of the time throughout multi-state territory for extended periods of time, upwards of 50-60 nights in a hotel away from home per year
Must possess a valid driver's license and be able to obtain a driver's license in the assigned state as needed
Clean driving record and insurable by Mizuno insurance as well as employee's own insurance
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's Degree preferred
3+ years as a Golf Professional, Master Fitter, or within the Golf Specialty and/or Sporting Goods Industry as a sales associate or manager
Certified Master Fitter with Mizuno Golf (other brands are a plus)
Level 1 TrackMan Certified (other launch monitor certifications a plus)
Physical Demands/Essential Functions
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to communicate verbally.
Specific vision requirements include color vision.
Some lifting and moderately strenuous physical exertion required for event setup and teardown.
Must be able to lift and carry loads of up to 50 lbs. for up to 100 yards at a time.
The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, sit, and drive for extended periods of time that may exceed 4 hours.
Ability to drive an automobile.
