Director of Advancement Communications , guiding integrated fundraising and content marketing initiatives that expand donor engagement and advance Christendom’s Catholic mission.
The Director of Advancement Communications leads direct response fundraising (acquisition and house file), content marketing initiatives, and foundation proposal all aligns with the College’s mission and strategic priorities.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
Oversee all Advancement communications to ensure clarity, consistency, and mission alignment
Develop messaging frameworks, talking points, style guides, and major gift materials
Partner with Advancement leadership on strategic communications priorities
Assist in preparing major gift proposals, briefing materials, and stewardship communications
Direct Donor Acquisition (Digital & Direct Mail)
Set and measure performance targets (new donors, CPL, LTV, ROI)
Oversee creative strategy, testing, vendor partnerships, and channel mix
Guide A/B and multivariate testing to optimize acquisition performance
Ensure compliance with charitable solicitation laws and institutional privacy policies
Collaborate on dashboards and reporting to drive data‑informed strategy
Oversee Annual Giving & House File Appeals
Lead annual fund strategy, goal setting, and campaign calendars
Guide creative direction and audience segmentation
Partner on donor lifecycle strategy (welcome, stewardship, upgrades)
Direct Giving Day strategy, execution oversight, and post‑campaign analysis
Direct Content Marketing Initiatives
Oversee Christendom’s free online courses, Principles journal, and related initiatives
Ensure theological fidelity, academic quality, and editorial excellence
Track performance metrics including impressions, subscriptions, conversions, and downstream giving
Manage content production budgets and external vendor relationships
Develop case statements, impact narratives, and major funding requests
Coordinate with academic and administrative leaders to align priorities
Oversee research, drafting, and stewardship strategy
Manage & Develop Staff
Supervise the Advancement Digital Manager and Annual Fund Manager
Set performance objectives and ensure accountability for execution and results
Serve as a key member of the Advancement leadership team
WHAT YOU'LL BRING
A devout, practicing Catholic in full adherence to the teachings of the Church
>Bachelor’s degree in marketing or similar major 5+ years of
strategic leadership
experience in direct response, digital marketing, and content marketing within a nonprofit org
3+ years of team management experience
Experience with nonprofit CRM systems
