Strategic Growth Analyst
Fors Marsh, Washington, District of Columbia, United States
WHO WE ARE:
At Fors Marsh, we take on issues that matter. We are a team of researchers, advisors, and communicators working together to shape the systems that shape our lives. We look at human behavior from all angles to design targeted solutions that influence decision‑making and move people to action. We are committed to the problem, not just the project, and we are intentional about taking on work and forming partnerships that balance purpose, people, planet, and profit. We are a certified B Corporation, a Just employer, and a 2019‑2025 Top Workplace. We hold ourselves accountable to the values that have always defined us. And those values drive us to be the best possible versions of ourselves — for each other, our communities, our clients, and the world.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
We are looking for a Strategic Growth Analyst who is as comfortable tracking the legislative signals that shape our market as they are with pipeline analysis and reporting. This is a role for someone who understands that good intelligence is only as valuable as reliable, has a love for learning, and takes pride in being the most organized, most switched‑on person in the room.
You will sit inside our growth function, working closely with senior leaders, capture teams, and growth partners. Your work will directly inform how we compete, where we invest, and how we show up in the market. Some of it will be analytical and inform strategy. Some of it will be operational and administrative. All of it will matter.
Core Responsibilities Market and Competitive Intelligence
Produce recurring analyses of the federal and state government contracting landscape: policy and legislative activity, budget and funding trends, competitor positioning, and win patterns
Support monitoring account and market signals to surface emerging opportunities and flag risks before they become surprises
Analytics, Dashboards, and Growth Infrastructure
Build and maintain analytic products that give the growth team self‑service access to market, pipeline, competitive, and performance data
Use AI, automation, and business intelligence tools to deliver reliable, repeatable insights on both a scheduled and ad‑hoc basis
Keep the systems current and trustworthy
Reporting, KPIs, and Follow‑Through
Track and report growth and strategy KPIs including win rates, pipeline health, and strategic initiative progress on a consistent cadence
Support government relations tracking: monitoring engagement priorities, logging actions, and ensuring follow‑through is visible and documented
Prep and support strategy and capture meetings effectively
Communications and Synthesis
Support aligning intelligence to priority pursuits, accounts, and portfolios
Produce concise, well‑structured briefings and visualizations that support decision making
Minimum Qualifications
5 or more years of experience in market and competitive intelligence, business analytics, or a closely related field
Experience delivering analytical work and strategic recommendations to senior leaders, not just producing outputs
Familiarity with the federal and/or state government contracting environment, including how pursuits work and how decisions get made
Strong data discipline: able to build systems that are accurate, maintained, and trusted by the people who use them
Clear, direct written communication
Highly organized with strong follow‑through
Comfortable working across business development, marketing, and delivery teams
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Analytics, or a related field
Ability to work on‑site in the Washington, D.C. area as needed
Preferred Qualifications
7 or more years of experience in business development, growth, or strategy analytics in a government contracting environment
Hands‑on experience building dashboards or analytic products using Power BI, Tableau, or similar tools
Experience using AI tools to accelerate intelligence gathering, synthesis, and reporting
A track record of building reporting or tracking systems that people rely on and return to
We Offer
Ability to make an impact on people’s lives, both internal and external to the organization
Top‑tier health, dental, vision, and long and short‑term disability coverage all covered at 100% for employee coverage
A company culture that values balance and allows each employee to take leave as they require it to balance work and home responsibilities without lagging leave hours
A floating holiday bank so you can celebrate the days you value
Generous matching retirement contributions and no vesting period starting the third month of employment
Dedicated training and development budgets to expand your expertise and grow your skillset
Paid time off for volunteering
Participation in Fors Marsh staff‑led affinity groups
Product and service discounts through the certified B Corp network
Annual Salary : $80,000‑$110,000/year commensurate with experience
Location : Hybrid. Some remote work with on‑site requirements in the Washington, D.C. area as needed.
Equal Opportunity Employer:
All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, age, pregnancy, genetic information, disability, status as a protected veteran, or any other protected category under applicable federal, state, and local laws.
