Senior Director, FP&A

Position Overview Reporting to the VP, Finance, the Senior Director, FP&A will lead Maesa’s global financial planning function, drive strategic financial insights, strengthen forecasting capabilities, and partner with executive leadership to support growth, operational efficiency, and long‑range strategic planning. You will be charged with providing the actionable insights necessary to scale our existing portfolio and launch the next generation of disruptive beauty brands. This role oversees the full FP&A lifecycle—budgets, forecasts, financial modeling, performance analytics, and executive reporting and aligning financial plans with Maesa’s strategic priorities.

Key Responsibilities

Strengthen FP&A capabilities, tools, and systems to improve forecasting accuracy, automate reporting, and enhance decision‑support analytics.

Oversee S&OP process, including annual budgeting, quarterly and monthly forecasting, long‑range planning, and scenario modeling for all business units.

Partner closely with Sales, Operations, Supply Chain, and Brand leadership to improve forecast accuracy, while identifying risks, opportunities, and key business drivers.

Develop and own trade governance and reporting, partnering with Field Sales and Sales Operations.

Assess effectiveness of trade promotions by retailer, creating playbooks to assess future opportunities and drive efficiencies.

Serve as a trusted advisor to executive leadership, offering insights on performance trends, KPIs, and strategic initiatives.

Influence cross‑functional teams in aligning financial plans with long‑term business objectives and growth priorities.

Oversee monthly business reviews, management reporting, and board‑level presentations, delivering clear storytelling and actionable insights.

Own KPI development across the organization; establish performance dashboards and accountability frameworks.

Drive improvements in data quality, reporting cadence, and insight generation to support operational excellence.

Upgrade FP&A processes, systems, and financial controls to support Maesa’s scaling and private‑equity‑driven environment.

Lead special projects such as profitability enhancement, cost optimization initiatives, and cross‑functional productivity improvements.

Champion best practices in financial planning, advanced analytics, and performance management.

Qualifications

12+ years of progressive finance experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within the Consumer‑Packaged Goods (CPG), Beauty, or Retail industries.

Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, or Economics; MBA or CPA is highly preferred.

Mastery of Excel and experience with enterprise‑grade ERPs (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) and EPM tools (e.g., Anaplan, Adaptive Insights).

Proven ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, private‑equity‑backed environment where “speed to market” is a competitive advantage.

Exceptional ability to translate complex financial data into compelling narratives for non‑financial stakeholders and board members.

What We Offer $180k – $200k/yr (exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location). This position is eligible for participation in a discretionary bonus plan based on individual and company performance.
