Job Description
Job Summary: Lafayette Group is seeking a dynamic, experienced, and highly motivated individual to support the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) with managing and developing strategic data products, coordinating stakeholder meetings and strategic communications efforts, and conducting a variety of strategic, operational, and business process analyses related to performance measures and metrics. This will be a data-heavy position, so strong data analytics skills, experience with common data analysis/parsing tools, and an understanding of data stewardship principles is required.
Job Responsibilities
Data Strategy: Serve as the backbone of CISA’s strategic initiatives by establishing a comprehensive data framework for collecting, managing, and utilizing data effectively. Define strategic objectives, determine data collection methods, ensure data quality and security, and align data practices with the goals and vision. Extensive experience with Power BI Desktop and Power BI Service.
KPI Development: Identify and define key performance indicators that are crucial for measuring the organization’s success. This involves conducting in-depth analysis, consulting with stakeholders to understand strategic priorities, and selecting indicators that provide actionable insights into performance against objectives.
Metric Design: Develop performance metrics that are well-designed, meaningful, and aligned with strategic objectives. This involves defining clear measurement criteria, establishing benchmarks and targets, and designing metrics that provide actionable insights and drive continuous improvement efforts.
Gap Analysis: Responsible for examining the existing dataset and comparing it against the data required to meet organizational goals. By identifying gaps in the available data, the team can gain insights into where additional data collection or refinement is needed.
Establish processes for the transfer and integration of data across different systems and platforms, enabling real-time access to accurate and current information for data-driven decisions.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree and 8 years of professional experience in consulting, policy development/analysis, data analysis, or project management
Demonstrated experience with data collection and metric development efforts
Demonstrated experience with performance management
Significant experience working with MS Power Platform - Power BI, Power Apps, and Power Automate or similar tools
Excellent research, data gathering, analytical, critical thinking, and listening skills
Ability to think conceptually and strategically and learn quickly
Ability to meet deadlines, adhere to project plans, ensure any conflicts are brought to the attention of the management team, and multi-task on several projects simultaneously
Ability to be flexible and adaptable to changes in project scope, timelines, and deliverablesAbility to interact, collaborate, and network effectively with all levels of staff, including senior leadership, both internal and on the client site
Excellent written and verbal communication/presentation skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
Ability to obtain DHS entry on duty (EOD)/suitability or a security clearance
Desired Qualifications
Experience in IT or cybersecurity
Experience supporting DHS programs or initiatives
Basic understanding of industry best practices related to the implementation of information security policy, such as NIST publications
Basic understanding of Agile or PMP project management methodology
Existing DHS EOD/suitability
Location: Arlington, VA – Hybrid Remote (Occasional on-site LGI or Client Office)
Federal Contracts This position involves working on federal contracts that require all workers on the contract to be U.S. Citizens. Additionally, some contracts may require the ability to obtain a security clearance.
Salary Range $85K - $115K
