Position Overview Accounting Manager / Controller
We are seeking an experienced
Accounting Manager / Controller
with strong pharmaceutical industry expertise, particularly in
gross‑to‑net (GTN) accounting .
The ideal candidate is independent, and steady under pressure. You will oversee one Senior Accountant and collaborate closely with the CFO.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and oversee gross‑to‑net (GTN) accounting processes within a pharmaceutical environment.
Review and support the work of the Senior Accountant responsible for day‑to‑day GTN activities.
Analyze and review
budget‑to‑actual results , identifying and explaining variances.
Provide financial insights to leadership during a period of organizational transition.
Ensure accuracy, compliance, and consistency across accounting processes.
Collaborate with a small, remote finance team (4 total team members).
Required Qualifications
Strong, hands‑on experience with gross‑to‑net accounting in the pharmaceutical industry .
Experience reviewing budget‑to‑actual results and explaining variances.
Supervisory or team‑lead experience.
Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs; familiarity with macros preferred).
Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment.
Preferred Qualifications
CPA
Knowledge of GAAP and IFRS
Public accounting background
Experience with SAP
Soft Skills & Team Fit
Highly independent and comfortable managing responsibilities with limited oversight.
Able to navigate a fast‑moving environment with shifting processes.
