direct care, mental health and psychosocial support (MHPSS), protection, and advocacy , ensuring the right to health is realized without social, financial, cultural, or geographic barriers.
CONTEXT OF THE MISSION MdM-CH has been active in the occupied Palestinian territory (oPt) for 30 years, focusing on
improving psychosocial well-being , particularly for youth and young adults affected by trauma. Since October 2023, conflict in Gaza and rising tensions in the West Bank have dramatically increased humanitarian needs. Despite
access restrictions and volatile security conditions , MdM-CH has scaled up medical, MHPSS, protection, and emergency response operations.
MdM-CH is now establishing a
Senior Management Pool
to ensure rapid deployment of highly skilled leaders to support field teams and operational continuity in this complex environment.
PURPOSE OF THE SENIOR MANAGEMENT ROSTER PALESTINE PROGRAM (100%) roster-based / deployment-ready
Selected candidates will:
Provide strategic, operational, and technical leadership for programs in West Bank and Gaza
Support field teams and partner organizations in emergency response
Ensure program quality, monitoring, evaluation, and compliance
Lead multi-disciplinary teams under volatile conditions
Oversee safety and security of personnel and operations
Contribute to advocacy and human rights documentation as appropriate
Positions may include:
Country / Program Director / Deputy Country Director
Operations Manager
Finance Manager
Security / Safety Manager
We are looking for a team member who can lead with strong leadership while remaining fully hands‑on in the field. They will coordinate their team’s activities and take full ownership of their mission, combining strategic vision with concrete action.
TECHNICAL & MANAGERIAL SKILLS
Advanced degree in Humanitarian Action, Development, Public Health, International Relations, or Law
5–10+ years of senior management
experience in humanitarian or medical NGO contexts
Proven experience in planning, strategy development, and identification of humanitarian needs
Experience in medical, MHPSS, and emergency programs, ideally in the oPt or Middle East
Experience in financial management, multi-donor budgets, multi-country grants, SAGA software knowledge mandatory
Experience liaising with donors and negotiating with partners in complex legal, administrative, and political contexts
Proven ability to manage team safety and security in volatile environments
Training and capacity‑building experience
LEADERSHIP COMPETENCIES
Patience, diplomacy, and strong interpersonal skills
Autonomous, proactive, and adaptable with ability to anticipate and take initiatives
Organizational skills, rigor, and attention to detail
Team spirit and collaborative mindset
Motivation and strong adherence to MdM principles
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Fluent in English (required) / French and/or Arabic are strong assets
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT, START DATE AND APPLICATION DEADLINE
International expatriate position. Monthly gross salary based on experience paid 13 times a year (½ in June and ½ in December).
Family posting upon discussion.
6 weeks of vacation.
Guest house or individual accommodation (details available on request).
100% coverage of medical expenses and loss of income insurance by the employer. Pension insurance covered 70% by the employer and 30% by the employee. Transportation (home–mission), visa fees, and vaccinations at departure covered.
Contract duration: 6‑12 months, renewable depending on the evolution of the highly volatile context.
Position based in Amann with remote work from home if the situation allows.
