Senior Transmission Line Designer
We are seeking a designer on electric transmission line design projects for high‑voltage (HV) and extra high‑voltage (EHV) overhead and underground systems for some of the largest utilities in the country. This role involves working independently under the direction of an engineer, applying engineering standards to the design of electrical overhead and underground transmission line systems, reconductor projects, greenfield projects, brownfield projects, structure replacement projects, and various other types of projects. Responsibilities also include performing engineering analyses, preparing bidding documents, drafting plans and specifications, preparing material procurement and construction documents, and managing all aspects of transmission line design.
Work Location Orlando, FL office preferred; Remote/Hybrid optional in Florida
Qualifications
Minimum of four (4) years of prior relevant experience in the design of electric utility transmission systems
Experience in full transmission line designs including PLS‑CADD models, material, plan and profiles, and construction packages
Knowledge of NESC requirements; material procurement process; project schedules; and construction work packages
Ability to work effectively in a team environment but also independently
Proven ability to communicate with clients and project teams
Periodic travel may be required for site visits, construction support, and in‑person meetings
Compensation Pay Range: $87,100.00 – $157,450.00
