The Impact You Will Have In This Role You will serve as a Technical Product Owner operating at the intersection of product, technology, and business analysis. You are responsible for turning incomplete or high‑level asks into clear, detailed functional and technical specifications that engineering squads can reliably build against.
You will act as the Technical PO / Lead BSA for a squad delivering blockchain‑based capabilities. You own the quality, clarity, and completeness of requirements entering the team so that Business Analysis, engineers, QA, and downstream partners can execute quickly and accurately.
Your Primary Responsibilities Requirements & Specifications
Translate high level business requirements into well‑structured functional and technical specifications
Author and refine end‑to‑end requirements (business, functional, and non‑functional) and key management flows, internal operations portals, client‑facing UIs, and on‑chain/off‑chain integrations
Define detailed acceptance criteria, testable outcomes, and edge cases to support efficient implementation and testing (including QA, automation, and AI/agent‑assisted validation)
Ensure requirements remain traceable from business objective → epics → user stories → test cases
Product Ownership & Backlog Management
Collaborate with Product Managers to shape the roadmap and align squad priorities to strategic outcomes
Decompose features into epics, user stories, and tasks with appropriate sizing and technical detail
Prioritize and maintain the product backlog in JIRA, balancing new delivery, technical debt, risk, and operational needs
Partner closely with BA/Engineering resources to ensure stories are sprint‑ready, well understood, and meet “definition of ready” standards
Squad Delivery & Cross‑Functional Collaboration
Serve as the primary liaison between business stakeholders, clients, and technical teams
Lead and/or actively participate in refinement, planning, discovery, and design sessions
Drive clarity on scope, tradeoffs, dependencies, and delivery risks; unblock execution as needed
Provide transparent updates on status, risks, dependencies, and scope changes to stakeholders
Technical & Domain Leadership
Act as a practical subject matter resource across design patterns, wallets, transaction flows, custody/key concepts, and on‑chain/off‑chain integration patterns for enterprise‑grade platforms
Guide stakeholders on technical feasibility and propose solutions that leverage blockchain strengths while meeting enterprise requirements
Partner with architecture and engineering leads to ensure solutions align to DTCC technical standards, security expectations, and regulatory considerations
NOTE: The Primary Responsibilities of this role are not limited to the details above.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field (Master’s preferred)
7+ years of experience in product ownership, business systems analysis, or technical product management (financial services, fintech, and/or digital assets preferred)
Demonstrated experience writing detailed functional and technical requirements for complex distributed systems
Hands‑on exposure to blockchain technology (e.g., Solidity or other platforms), wallets, transaction lifecycles, basic cryptographic concepts, and on‑chain vs. off‑chain data and integration patterns
Ability to read and discuss technical designs, including sequence diagrams, API specifications, and system flows, and translate them into clear requirements
Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and written/verbal communication skills; able to explain complex technical concepts in plain language
Talents Needed For Success
Technical Curiosity & Depth: Quickly understands systems end to end and leans into the details
Requirements Craftsmanship: Writes clear, unambiguous, testable requirements and acceptance criteria; treats documentation as a value driver
Systems Thinking: Anticipates downstream impacts and connects features to the broader digital asset ecosystem
Influence Without Authority: Drives alignment, challenges ambiguity, and facilitates decisions without people‑management responsibility
Execution Focus: Balances rigor with speed to keep delivery moving and iterative
Adaptability & Learning Mindset: Embraces evolving product direction and new tooling (including AI‑assisted delivery practices)
