As we continue expanding our healthcare portfolio and supporting net-new business pursuits, we are seeking a highly specialized Epic Subject Matter Expert who can guide digital healthcare strategy at the enterprise level.

The Role Huge is looking for a

Technology Director (Freelance)

with deep expertise in the Epic ecosystem, particularly Epic MyChart applications and services.

In this role, you are not simply a technical advisor, you are the Epic authority. You understand the integration landscape across Epic Provider Finder, MyChart widgets, and FHIR APIs, and you stay current on Epic's roadmap and evolving feature sets that directly impact patient‑facing digital experiences.

You will partner closely with clients, internal strategy teams, and cross‑functional leaders to define integration patterns, evaluate digital architectures, and guide enterprise healthcare technology programs with a focus on patient care and digital engagement.

IMPORTANT DISCLOSURE

This is a

freelance contract position

requiring full‑time commitment.

Candidates must be available 100% from March 9 through April 24.

Applicants who cannot commit to this full‑time allocation during the contract period will not be considered.

Compensation for this role is hourly‑based.

What Youll Be Doing

Serve as the Epic Subject Matter Expert across healthcare engagements.

Lead technical integration strategy for: Epic Provider Finder

Epic MyChart applications and services

Epic FHIR APIs

Provide architectural guidance on patient portals and digital front door initiatives.

Stay current on Epic roadmap updates and advise clients on feature impacts and strategic opportunities.

Support large‑scale digital transformation programs within healthcare systems.

Enterprise Architecture & Client Leadership

Engage directly with clients, offering strategic guidance and troubleshooting support.

Define and evaluate healthcare digital ecosystems and integration frameworks.

Advise on CMS selection and digital platform architecture during discovery phases.

Support multi‑channel web delivery strategies in regulated healthcare environments.

Contribute to defining MarTech stack strategies for healthcare clients.

What Wed Like to See

Proven experience within healthcare technology environments (health systems, hospitals, or healthcare platforms).

Deep expertise with Epic MyChart integrations.

Strong understanding of HIPAA compliance and PHI handling.

Experience delivering enterprise‑level digital strategy programs in healthcare.

Strong client‑facing skills with the ability to present, advise, and operate at executive levels.

100% availability from March 9 through April 24.

Experience with enterprise CMS platforms such as: Contentstack

Optimizely SaaS

Contentful

Adobe Experience Manager (AEM/EDS)

Knowledge of multi‑channel web delivery ecosystems.

Based in EST or CST time zones.

This role is currently not available for hire or work in New Mexico, and Hawaii.

The salary range for this position is listed below. Exactly where a prospective employee will be paid within this range will depend on, among other factors, the actual salary ranges for current and former employees who are either currently filling a similar role or did in the past; the candidate's depth of experience and qualifications; the level of specialization the role requires; budgetary considerations; the market demand for that role and the local market conditions that exist where the employee will be based. For current Huge employees, tenure will also be a consideration. Wage Disclosure: $140—$170 USD.
