Our client is making a strategic investment in ServiceNow and is seeking a
Principal / Senior ServiceNow Engineer
with
deep, repeatable Strategic Portfolio Management (SPM) implementation experience . This role is a
hands-on technical leadership position , responsible for driving the
enterprise rollout and long-term success of ServiceNow SPM , including
Collaboration Workspace and Project/Portfolio Management , while aligning with broader platform initiatives such as
SAM, HAM, CMDB maturity, and platform scalability . This is
not
a traditional people-management role. Instead, this is a
builder–architect hybrid : someone who can think at the
architectural and governance level
while remaining deeply involved in
design, configuration, and delivery . What You’ll Do Lead the technical implementation of ServiceNow Strategic Portfolio Management (SPM) , bringing proven experience from
multiple enterprise SPM deployments , ideally within large, complex environments. Serve as the
hands-on technical authority
for SPM design, configuration, and delivery, including Collaboration Workspace and Project/Portfolio Management. Act as the primary technical interface to the EPMO , partnering closely to ensure portfolios, programs, and projects are aligned with enterprise goals and governance. Work directly with
implementation partners and integrators , providing oversight, direction, and quality control throughout delivery. Design and build scalable solutions using
Flow Designer, scripting, integrations, and platform automation . Support alignment between SPM and broader platform capabilities including
Software Asset Management, Hardware Asset Management, and CMDB maturity . Coach and upskill internal engineering teams , serving as a long-term
platform gatekeeper post–go-live
to ensure standards, consistency, and maintainability. Act as an
escalation point for complex technical challenges , providing clear, confident direction without over-communication or ambiguity. Contribute to
platform governance, documentation, and delivery standards
to support sustainable growth of the ServiceNow ecosystem. What You Bring Required Qualifications Senior-level ServiceNow engineering experience in enterprise environments (typically
7+ years ). Demonstrated experience across multiple ServiceNow SPM implementations , preferably at scale. Background working for or alongside
ServiceNow integrators or consultancies
(current or past strongly preferred). Experience delivering at least one
greenfield or net-new ServiceNow implementation
from planning through go-live. Strong hands-on expertise in
ServiceNow configuration, development, and integrations . Ability to
engage confidently with executive stakeholders and EPMO teams , translating strategy into execution. Proven ability to balance
architect-level thinking with hands-on delivery . Preferred Qualifications Experience with
IT Asset Management (SAM/HAM)
and
CMDB governance . Familiarity with
Discovery, Service Mapping, and CMDB data quality best practices . ServiceNow certifications related to
SPM, ITSM, or platform architecture . Experience in
Banking and/or Financial Services
environments preferred. What Success Looks Like A

visibility, governance, and confidence
within the EPMO and leadership teams. A
well-governed, scalable ServiceNow platform
