We are currently seeking a

Field Sales Engineer

to support and grow our customer base in the

Maine

region. You do

NOT

need to reside in

Portland

to be considered for this position.

An ideal candidate will have proven Technical Sales experience that drives business growth and/or strong hands‑on machining experience applying cutting tools across a variety of workpiece materials, along with CNC programming experience (manual and CAM systems). A minimum of five (5) years of experience is required in either technical sales or CNC machining/programming. Prior sales experience in the cutting tool industry is a significant advantage.

Role Overview This is a field-based role requiring daily travel (approximately 70–80%) throughout your assigned territory, with a primary focus on in-person customer visits, relationship building, and driving sales growth. This is an

exempt position

offering a competitive base salary commensurate with experience, plus a

commission structure with strong earning potential .

Responsibilities

Drive sales growth through in-person customer visits and relationship building

Utilize technical expertise to recommend cutting tools and solutions to customers

Collaborate with internal teams to support customer needs and close sales opportunities

Maintain accurate sales records and forecast within the assigned territory

Qualifications

Minimum of 5 years experience in technical sales or CNC machining/programming

Strong technical knowledge of metal cutting tooling systems and machining processes

Proficiency in CNC programming (manual and CAM systems)

Excellent communication skills, self‑motivated, results‑driven, and able to work both independently and within a team environment

Reliable, punctual, committed to safety, and authorized to work in the United States
