Description Huntington’sManaging Director,Financial Sponsors Group(FSG)is a senior leader responsible for originating,developingand managing relationships withdiverse financial sponsors, includingprivate equity firms and othermulti-strategy asset managers.Our new colleague will manageclient coverage and strategy, collaborating acrosscorporate client coverage andproduct teams to deliveradvice,relationshipsaccess, value added ideas andcomprehensive financial solutions.The Managing Director will have a definedclient and prospectcoverage listand is expected todevelop relationships with these firms tomeet individual and teamfinancial goals,contribute tothe overall growth of the FSG and HuntingtonBank,acrossHuntington Capital Markets andCapstone.This position requires a strong command ofcapital markets,investment banking,M&A,leveragedfinance andcredit fundamentals, with the ability tothink creatively,collaborateacross partner groups and drive for results while aligningwith Huntington’s risk appetite and market conditions.

Duties and Responsibilities

Serve as the primaryclient coverage officerforapproximately20–40financial sponsors.

Develop client strategy and organize relevant partnersacross Huntington, Huntington Capital Markets and Capstoneto drive an intensive,proactiveandvalue-added calling effortin pursuit of deal mandates.

Build andmaintainstrong, multi-faceted,and trust-basedrelationships with private equity firms and other institutionalasset managers.

Lead andparticipatein origination and execution ofnewleveraged finance, debt capitalmarketsand equity capital marketsopportunitiesby partnering with colleaguesacross sectorteams,capital marketsproductsteamsandcommercial bankingregionalmiddle marketteams.

Lead andparticipateinefforts to pursue M&A and other advisory mandates with Capstone, includingpositioning withclientsaround targeted sell-side/buyside opportunities andCapstone’s engaged pipelineandsell-side deal outreach

Partner with industry and product teams to deliver integrated solutions.

Prioritize opportunities to effectively manageresources to build andacquiremandates across a robust pipeline ofM&A, capital raising, and strategic advisory transactions.

Maintain pipeline, CRMsystems,and track client activity metrics.

Lead, manage deal teams andparticipateinall phases of deal execution includingnegotiation of term sheets and commitment papers, financial and businessdue diligence, financial modeling, and valuation.

Leadthe creation of pitchbooksfor originations activities

Lead orparticipatein the creation of deal-relatedinformationmemoranda, and marketing materials.

Represent the firm in market-facing activities and industry events.

Mentor and coach junior bankers and contribute to talent development.

Supportjunior bankers,recruitingand firm-building initiatives.

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field

15years’ experience inFinancial Sponsors, Mergers & Acquisitions,Capital Markets, Investment Banking, or Corporate Finance

FINRA Series 79, 63 (or equivalent)

Preferred Qualifications

Provenand demonstrabletrack recordinworking with financial sponsors

Significant and demonstrable investment banking and capital marketstransaction executionexperience

Strong private equity relationshipswith relevant firms

Exceptional communication, leadership, and analytical skills

Ability to lead teams and manage multiple complex engagements

Strong understanding of sponsor-driven transactions and private equity dynamics

Sectorexpertisein one or more of Huntington’s focus industries(e.g., TMT, healthcare, industrials)

Provenability to originate, develop and manage sophisticated private equityclient relationships

Exempt Status (Yes = not eligible for overtime pay) (No = eligible for overtime pay)

Compensation Range $300,000.00 - $350,000.00 Annual Salary

The compensation range represents the low and high end of the base compensation range for this position. Actual compensation will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. Colleagues in this position are also eligible to participate in an applicable incentive compensation plan. In addition, Huntington provides a variety of benefits to colleagues, including health insurance coverage, wellness program, life and disability insurance, retirement savings plan, paid leave programs, paid holidays and paid time off (PTO).
