Senior Product Analyst
Scribd, Inc., Chicago, IL, United States
About the Team
The mission of the Data & Analytics team is to ensure the entire company understands business performance and trends, and to empower all business teams to make good decisions with data. The Growth organization focuses on driving sustainable subscriber and user growth across Scribd’s ecosystem, including Scribd, Everand, Slideshare, and Fable. We work to improve how users discover, sign up for, activate, and retain value across our products. Our work spans acquisition, activation, retention, and monetization, with a deep emphasis on data quality, measurement, and experimentation.
About the Role We’re looking for a Senior Product Analyst to support the growth and optimization of Scribd’s user-generated content ecosystem. In this role, you’ll partner closely with Product, Engineering, Data, and Marketing to uncover insights about user behavior, experiment performance, and content discovery, and translate those insights into actionable recommendations that drive measurable impact. This role sits at the intersection of product analytics, experimentation, and growth, with a strong focus on how users discover, engage with, and convert through UGC-driven experiences.
What You’ll Do
Design and execute end-to-end experimentation frameworks to measure and optimize growth initiatives across the funnel, including hypothesis generation, test design, metric definition, analysis, and readouts. Partner with Data Science and Product to establish experimentation best practices, set success thresholds, and ensure statistical rigor in all A/B tests.
Collaborate with Product, Lifecycle, and Data Engineering teams to design experiments, define success metrics, and measure the impact of product and marketing initiatives.
Build and maintain scalable dashboards and reporting frameworks in Looker and Databricks to track growth KPIs such as signups, trial conversion, bill-through rate, churn, and LTV.
Partner with PMs to identify and prioritize opportunities through funnel and cohort analyses, experimentation, and user behavior insights. Support scenario planning and impact sizing for key initiatives, helping quantify potential outcomes, model tradeoffs, and inform prioritization decisions across acquisition, activation, and retention efforts.
Own analytics and reporting for external organic traffic to Scribd’s UGC experiences, including performance monitoring, experiment measurement, and insight generation tied to product outcomes.
Analyze search-driven landing page journeys end-to-end evaluating traffic quality, engagement, conversion, and retention to identify opportunities for UGC growth.
Measure the impact of web-facing and technical changes (e.g., crawlability, performance, structured signals) on organic traffic, content visibility, and downstream funnel performance.
You Have
3+ years of experience in product analytics or a related analytical role supporting web-facing or content-driven products.
Strong understanding of organic web traffic and external discovery fundamentals, including search-driven entry points, landing page performance, technical site health signals, and content performance measurement.
Expert knowledge of statistical concepts and methodologies, including experimental design, hypothesis testing, and regression analysis.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science) or equivalent practical experience.
Advanced proficiency in SQL and at least one scripting language (Python or R), plus experience building dashboards in a BI tool (Looker preferred) and working with modern data warehouses (e.g., Databricks).
Strong business acumen and the ability to connect analytical insights to business objectives.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to distill complex data into meaningful insights for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Experience working in an agile development environment and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality, accurate analysis within tight deadlines.
