Executive Director of Business Development (pan-Europe)

Executive Director of Business Development, Pan-European region

The Executive Director is responsible for leading and managing a team across Europe (including the United Kingdom, Switzerland, and key EU member states), driving business development activities for ChemPartner's CRO services including Chemistry, Biology & Pharmacology, DMPK, Exploratory Toxicology, and Biologics Discovery. The Executive Director will collaborate with other BD team members, technical teams, and senior management to execute sales strategies, generate new business opportunities, and achieve revenue goals. In addition to managing and growing business from existing clients, the Executive Director is responsible for establishing new accounts, key accounts, and strategic partnerships across Europe, with a focus on key biopharma hubs including the UK, Germany, Switzerland, France, and the Nordics.

The position is based remotely within Europe, preferably in the UK, Germany, or Switzerland. Travel to clients, industry conferences, and headquarters in Shanghai is expected.

Responsibilities:

Develop strategies and execute plans to generate new opportunities and expand existing business for ChemPartner’s CRO businesses

Establish large key accounts, and position ChemPartner as a preferred partner

Manage business from multiple customer segments including VCs, academic institutions and biopharmaceutical companies

Achieve sales revenue targets for new and existing accounts

Develop and execute strategies to gain new accounts and long‑term contracts

Prospect and generate new leads and opportunities

Protect, manage and grow existing client relationships

Utilize CRM to actively manage an opportunity pipeline, and provide critical information needed for forecasting

Represent ChemPartner at industry meetings and conferences

Provide regular status and activity updates to senior management, technical leaders and Global BD Team members

Track landscape and collect competitive intelligence across Europe (including the UK), with a focus on key pharma hubs.

Requirements:

Bachelor of Science degree is required

M.S. or Ph.D. is desired

Minimum of 15 years of CRO and/or biopharmaceutical industry experience

Minimum of 10 years of relevant sales experienceMinimum of 5 years of management skills

Proven ability to meet or exceed annual sales goals

Self‑motivated, highly flexible and collaborative

Excellent communications skills (verbal, written, and presentation)

Strong independent contributor and teamplayer

Ability to travel domestically and internationally

Willingness to communicate in the mornings and evenings to accommodate global time zones when necessary

Salesforce.com experience is a plus

Fluency in English is required; additional European/Mandarin languages are a plus
