
Senior Director - Field Sales, North America

The Senior Director, Field Sales – North America, is responsible for the development, leadership, and execution of Abercrombie & Kent's field sales strategy across the North American territory. This role oversees a team of Area Sales Directors and provides strategic direction, coaching, and support to drive consistent revenue growth, expand market penetration, and strengthen relationships across the trade partner community.
This leader is highly strategic, forward-thinking, and deeply invested in developing high-performing teams. They will optimize territory performance, ensure alignment to overall commercial goals, and serve as a key voice in shaping A&K's competitive position in the marketplace. The Senior Director will collaborate cross-functionally to identify emerging opportunities, influence product and marketing decisions, and drive initiatives that elevate A&K's presence and performance across the region.
Responsibilities And Accountabilities
Provide strategic leadership and day-to-day management for the North America Field Sales organization, overseeing Area Sales Directors across all regions. Develop and execute a territory-wide sales strategy aligned with A&K's revenue goals, brand priorities, and long-term commercial vision. Lead, inspire, and develop Area Sales Directors—coaching them to elevate performance, maximize productivity, and build high-impact trade relationships. Monitor regional performance metrics and market trends to identify opportunities, risks, and required adjustments in sales approach. Collaborate with Marketing, Revenue, Product, and Operations teams to ensure the field strategy aligns with company initiatives and marketplace needs. Build and maintain strategic relationships with top trade partners, consortia, and key accounts to strengthen A&K's market positioning. Oversee territory budget planning and resource allocation, ensuring efficient use of sales investments to maximize revenue impact. Drive innovation in field outreach, trade engagement, and regional activation to expand A&K's footprint. Provide regular reporting, insights, and recommendations to senior leadership regarding territory performance, market dynamics, and competitive intelligence. Represent A&K at trade events, industry conferences, and partner meetings across North America. Other Duties

Bachelor’s degree in a related field, such as business administration, marketing, or finance. Special Requirements
Preferred location is A&K’s USA office in Downers Grove, IL; Aventura, FL will also be considered. A minimum of 10 years of progressive sales leadership experience, preferably in the luxury travel, DMC, Tour Operator, or hospitality sector. Demonstrated success leading multi-region field sales teams and driving significant revenue growth. Strong strategic planning background with the ability to translate vision into actionable plans. Exceptional people-leadership skills with a track record of coaching, developing, and motivating high-performance teams. Experience building strong partnerships with travel advisors, consortia, and key accounts. Proven ability to leverage data, metrics, and business intelligence to drive decision-making. Strong business acumen with budgeting and ROI analysis expertise. Familiarity with CRM and reservations-related systems and other commercial tools is a plus. Salary Range
Up to 150k, the position is bonus eligible. A&K offers a large portfolio of competitive benefits to all eligible, full-time employees.
