The Impact You Will Have In This Role The Director of IT Business Management serves as the strategic bridge between Technology and the Business, ensuring that IT investments, operating models, and transformation initiatives directly support organizational objectives. Operating under the IT Transformation umbrella, this leader enhances alignment, transparency, communication, and measurable value delivery across the IT organization.
Your Primary Responsibilities
Serve as the primary liaison between Business and Technology teams.
Translate enterprise objectives and business needs into actionable IT strategies and roadmaps.
Advise senior leadership on technology implications, opportunities, risks, and dependencies.
Lead enterprise‑wide transformation initiatives including modernization, automation, cloud, and data‑driven operating model changes.
Establish governance frameworks, KPIs, and reporting to ensure transparency and measurable outcomes.
Align transformation efforts tightly with enterprise strategy and regulatory requirements.
Lead CIO/Tech Leadership operating rhythms, strategic planning cycles, and executive reporting.
Produce high‑quality executive‑ready material (Board content, QBRs, strategic updates, dashboards).
Improve and streamline IT processes, operating models, and tooling to enhance decision‑making and organizational clarity.
Develop strong, trust‑based partnerships with senior executives across business, technology, and operations.
Create and deliver compelling communications, strategy documents, transformation narratives, and change‑management content.
Ensure clear alignment across distributed teams, enabling clarity of priorities, expectations, and outcomes.
Lead and develop a high‑performing IT Business Management team (business managers, strategy analysts, transformation leads).
Foster a culture of ownership, accountability, continuous improvement, and collaboration.
Support career development and promote diversity, inclusion, and effective cross‑functional teaming.
Qualifications
Minimum of 10 years of related experience
Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience
Talents Needed For Success
10+ years in IT Strategy, IT Business Management, Transformation, or Technology Consulting.
Proven success partnering with senior leaders to influence decisions and drive multi‑stakeholder initiatives.
Strong experience in roadmap development, strategic planning, and transformation leadership.
Exceptional written and verbal communication with strong executive presence.
Experience leading or supporting modernization, cloud, automation, or operating‑model initiatives.
Experience in financial services or other complex, regulated environments.
Certifications such as PMP, ITIL, SAFe/Agile, or equivalents.
Comes from a consulting background — ideally with experience at a Big 4 firm (Deloitte, PwC, EY, KPMG).
Background in enterprise architecture, data strategy, change management, or transformation advisory.
