Strategic Recruitment Liaison

The Strategic Recruitment Liaison provides end-to-end recruitment and hiring support for select high-priority and complex hires across UC Davis and UC Davis Health, including Contract Physicians, physician direct hires, and high-level leadership positions. This role partners closely with executive hiring managers, department leadership, recruiters, and central Human Resources partners to ensure a coordinated and seamless transition from recruitment through hire completion. The Strategic Recruitment Liaison serves as a central point of coordination for complex hiring activity, exercising strong judgment, discretion, and organizational skills while navigating multiple stakeholders and timelines. The role also provides high-level administrative and operational support to Strategic Talent Services, contributing to the successful execution of recruitment strategies across the institution.

Department Overview Strategic Talent Services is a specialized unit within Talent Acquisition and Compensation Services dedicated to advancing strategic, equitable, and high-impact recruitment initiatives that support the organization's mission to cultivate a world-class, diverse workforce across UC Davis and UC Davis Health.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Healthcare Administration, or related field, or equivalent experience/training

Minimum 2 years of experience providing administrative, operational, or coordination support within healthcare, higher education, or similar settings

Ability to support end-to-end hiring and recruitment processes involving multiple stakeholders

Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines

Professional judgment and discretion when working with executive leaders and sensitive information

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Ability to build effective working relationships across departments and functional areas

Demonstrated problem-solving skills and ability to adapt in fast-paced environments

High attention to detail and follow-through

Preferred Qualifications

SHRM or HRCI Certification (e.g., PHR)

Experience supporting complex, high-visibility initiatives or leadership-level work

Experience providing high-level strategic administrative support to senior leaders or leadership teams

Familiarity with academic, healthcare, or complex organizational environments

Work Environment UC Davis is a smoke and tobacco free campus effective January 1, 2014.
