Senior Manager, Accounting (SaaS) - Remote (east coast hours)
A fast-growing SaaS company is seeking a
Senior Manager of Accounting
to lead the accounting function, own the month-end close and revenue recognition processes, and build scalable systems to support continued growth. This is a high-impact role partnering closely with leadership to strengthen accounting operations and infrastructure in a dynamic, high-growth environment.
Compensation: $150,000-170,000 base + bonus
Responsibilities
Month-End Close & Financial Reporting – Own and lead the end-to-end monthly close process, driving improvements toward a 5–7 day close cycle
Revenue recognition – Manage revenue recognition and ensure ASC 606 compliance across subscription-based contracts
Financial statements & reporting – Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, management reporting, and board materials
Account reconciliations – Lead account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies efficiently
Variance analysis – Partner with FP&A on variance analysis and deliver actionable insights to leadership
Accounting Operations & Systems
Optimize and enhance the accounting technology stack (ERP, billing, and expense platforms) to improve automation and efficiency
Establish and document accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls
Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable workflows
Build scalable accounting processes to support continued company growth
Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration
Partner with leadership on audits, investor reporting, and strategic finance initiatives
Serve as a thought partner by identifying opportunities for improvement and driving solutions
Collaborate cross-functionally with Finance, People Operations, and business teams to align accounting practices with operational goals
What We’re Looking For
4–6+ years of accounting experience in public accounting (Big 4 or regional firm) and/or a high-growth company
SaaS industry experience required
CPA required
Must be located on the East Coast
Deep expertise in revenue recognition (ASC 606), including hands-on implementation and optimization
Experience with modern ERP systems (Rillet, NetSuite, Sage Intacct, or similar), billing platforms (Stripe), and expense tools (Brex, Ramp)
Systems-oriented mindset with a strong focus on automation and leveraging technology/AI for efficiency
