Mandatory Qualifications
The Cloud Enterprise Architect shall have a minimum of ten (10) years of progressive experience in IT architecture roles, of which a minimum of five (5) years specifically dedicated to leading the design, planning, testing, and hands-on implementation of enterprise-scale cloud infrastructure solutions. All experience used to meet the minimum requirements must have occurred within the last ten (10) years
The Cloud Enterprise Architect shall have expert-level proficiency with a minimum of ten (10) years of active design and implementation experience across a minimum of two (2) major public cloud providers, including comprehensive knowledge of their IaaS, PaaS, and serverless offerings. All experience used to meet the minimum requirements must have occurred within the last ten (10) years
The Cloud Enterprise Architect shall have a minimum of one (1) current expert-level cloud architecture certification from a major cloud provider. The Offeror shall attach a copy of the certificate(s).
The Cloud Enterprise Architect shall have a minimum of five (5) years as the lead architect on a minimum of three (3) distinct large-scale cloud projects encompassing the full lifecycle from conceptual design through implementation and handover. All experience used to meet the minimum requirements must have occurred within the last ten (10) years prior to the offer due date.
The Cloud Enterprise Architect shall have a minimum of four (4) years of hands-on experience developing and deploying cloud infrastructure using infrastructure-as-code tools and scripting languages. All experience used to meet the minimum requirements must have occurred within the last ten (10) years
The Cloud Enterprise Architect shall have a minimum of four (4) years of hands-on experience in designing and implementing robust cloud-native security controls, compliance frameworks, and governance policies to adhere to federal standards such as NIST, CJIS, and other applicable government or regulatory compliance frameworks for sensitive data. All experience used to meet the minimum requirements must have occurred within the last ten (10) years
The Cloud Enterprise Architect shall have the ability to produce comprehensive, high-quality cloud architecture documentation as evidenced by the submission of a minimum of two (2) relevant work samples. The Offeror shall attach work samples as ATTACHMENT.
The Cloud Enterprise Architect shall have a bachelor’s degree in an IT-related or engineering field. The Offeror shall attach a copy of the degree.
Desirable Qualifications
The Cloud Enterprise Architect shall have a minimum of one (1) additional active advanced-level cloud certification beyond the mandatory architecture certification. The Offeror shall attach a copy of the certificate(s).
The Cloud Enterprise Architect shall have a minimum of two (2) years of experience actively contributing to the development and implementation of multi-cloud strategies or managing services across different public cloud providers. All experience used to meet the minimum requirements must have occurred within the last ten (10) years
The Cloud Enterprise Architect shall have experience leading cloud cost optimization initiatives for a minimum of two (2) large projects that resulted in quantifiable savings of at least fifteen percent (15%) on cloud spend within a specific project or business unit over a 12-month period. All experience used to meet the minimum requirements must have occurred within the last ten (10) years
The Cloud Enterprise Architect shall have a minimum of two (2) years of experience as a lead contributor in integrating cloud architecture design with DevOps practices and Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines to enable automated application deployment and infrastructure updates in a production environment. All experience used to meet the minimum requirements must have occurred within the last ten (10) years
The Cloud Enterprise Architect shall have a minimum of three (3) years of direct experience working on IT or cloud infrastructure projects within a state government, federal agency, or other large-scale public sector organization within the United States. All experience used to meet the minimum requirements must have occurred within the last ten (10) years
