Job Description As a Senior Director of Legal Operations at Honeywell Aerospace, you will lead and manage the legal data operations team, providing strategic guidance and support to ensure the smooth functioning of legal processes and systems. You will oversee the implementation and maintenance of legal technology tools and systems, leveraging technology to streamline legal operations and improve productivity.

You will report directly to the VP, Legal Operations, Strategy & Transformation and work out of our Phoenix, AZ location on a hybrid schedule.

In this role, you will advance Honeywell Aerospace’s legal data ecosystem by governing, optimizing, and integrating critical data processes across eDiscovery, Records Information Management (RIM), Enterprise Legal Management (ELM), and Legal Hold, strengthening data integrity, reducing risk, and accelerating legal decision‑making across the enterprise.

Key Responsibilities

Drive operational excellence and compliance by establishing strong governance frameworks, modernizing legal technology platforms, and ensuring defensible end‑to‑end data lifecycle management.

Partner closely with Legal, IT, Compliance, and business stakeholders to enhance analytics, automate workflows, and deliver actionable insights that support litigation, investigations, legal holds, and regulatory obligations.

Develop and implement strategies to optimize legal processes and data workflows, including the creation of legal tools and dashboards.

Utilize technology solutions to enhance legal operations and improve efficiency, including Enterprise Legal Management (ELM) & E‑billing.

Lead the eDiscovery program, including E2E process governance, and proactively identify opportunities for process efficiencies and optimization.

Own and modernize current information governance & Records Information Management (RIM) program, including managing document destruction schedules.

Familiarize with regulatory overlays for aerospace/defense such as ITAR, EAR, DFARS, and FAR record‑retention requirements and corporate retention.

Oversee tools & processes for external vendor and spend management for legal data‑management tools, including monitoring spend and driving accurate reporting and billing.

Own the Data Preservation & Forensics program to support investigations and legal hold processes, including managing the preservation lab.

Design and implement a Service of Process program.

Hire, manage, and develop a team of legal operations professionals focused on eDiscovery, legal hold, records management, investigations, and services of process.

Stay up‑to‑date with changes in legal technology and industry trends.

Manage relationships with external vendors and service providers.

Provide strategic guidance and support to the legal department and senior leadership.

Qualifications

10+ years of experience in legal operations or transformational roles.

Significant experience in legal operations or transformation roles.

Strong knowledge of legal processes and compliance requirements.

Proficiency with legal data management technology tools and platforms, such as Relativity, Rel One, Purview, Exterro‑legal hold, RDAS, CSC (service of process), Team Connect.

Experience in project management and process improvement methodologies.
