West Monroe is searching for an Experienced Consultant to join our growing Cybersecurity practice and focus on IT security advisory and solutions delivery for clients across various industries! Projects may include security controls analysis, risk/compliance assessments, and/or strategy & roadmap development. Responsibilities
Provide strategic cybersecurity advisory and consulting services for enterprise clients, ranging from policy definition to implementation, adoption, and enforcement
Deliver our Cybersecurity Advisory for Private Equity (CAPE) program/offering – to provide ongoing visibility into security practices, risks, and threats across a PE firm’s entire portfolio
Leverage industry-accepted frameworks for current-state risk/controls review of existing organizations – risk/compliance adherence, processes, technologies – while developing implementation strategies and roadmaps to guide solution delivery
Perform assessments, identify risks, highlight vulnerabilities, and determine a client’s ability to protect against attacks, detect active threats, and respond/recover from incidents
Develop recommendations and strategies for improving cyber security programs
Promote thought leadership in emerging cybersecurity technologies and best practices through activities like blogs, white papers, and attending industry events
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in relevant field preferred, or equivalent experience required
Consulting firm/industry experience preferred, including developed client interviewing skills
1-4+ years of experience in Cybersecurity, Information Security, IT Audit, or Tech Consulting
Background in any common cybersecurity domains – risk & compliance, privacy, strategy & operations, incident response, cloud security, network security, application security, data protection, identity and access management, etc.
Preference for experience working on security risk & controls assessment projects, leveraging industry-accepted frameworks such as NIST
Comfortable conveying complex cybersecurity concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
Achieved or pursuit of cyber industry and technical certifications to support developing skills
Proficient verbal, presentation/facilitation, and written communication skills
Willingness to travel for out-of-town client engagements (10-25% travel)
Hybrid role: 2x per week in office
Must be eligible to work in the US without sponsorship now or in the future
Based on pay transparency guidelines, the salary range for this role varies based on your proximity to one of our West Monroe offices. Individual salaries are determined by evaluating a variety of factors including geography, experience, skills, education, and internal equity.
Location-based Compensation:
Seattle or Washington, D.C. — $92,800–$109,200 USD
Los Angeles — $97,200–$114,400 USD
New York City or San Francisco — $101,700–$119,600 USD
A location not listed above — $88,400–$104,000 USD
Benefits include medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance; a 401(k) plan; employee stock ownership program; annual bonuses; unlimited flexible time off; ten paid holidays; and ten weeks of paid parental leave. Employees are eligible for these benefits upon hire date.
