Job Description Summary:
A consulting firm is seeking an Experienced or Senior Cybersecurity Consultant to join its cybersecurity advisory practice, supporting IT security strategy, risk management, and solution delivery for clients across multiple industries. The role focuses on helping enterprise organizations strengthen security posture through assessments, roadmap development, and implementation of cybersecurity improvements.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide cybersecurity advisory and consulting services for enterprise clients across the full lifecycle, including policy development, implementation, adoption, and enforcement Support delivery of a private equity cybersecurity advisory offering, providing ongoing visibility into security risks, practices, and threats across portfolio organizations Conduct current-state security and risk assessments using industry-recognized frameworks to evaluate controls, processes, technologies, and compliance adherence Identify security risks and vulnerabilities and assess an organization's ability to prevent, detect, respond to, and recover from cyber threats Develop recommendations, strategies, and implementation roadmaps to enhance cybersecurity programs and maturity Contribute to thought leadership through content development (e.g., blogs, white papers) and participation in industry events QUALIFICATIONS:
1-4+ years of experience in cybersecurity, information security, IT audit, or technology consulting Experience in one or more cybersecurity domains, such as risk and compliance, privacy, incident response, cloud security, network security, application security, data protection, or identity and access management Experience supporting or conducting security risk and controls assessments using frameworks such as NIST preferred Consulting or professional services experience preferred, including client-facing communication and interviewing skills Ability to communicate complex cybersecurity concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences Strong verbal, written, and presentation/facilitation skills Relevant cybersecurity certifications preferred or in progress Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience Willingness to travel for client engagements (approximately 10-25%) Ability to work in a hybrid environment (on-site approximately 2 days per week) Must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:
