Purpose of Role The Legislation Editorial Quality Lead is responsible for defining and executing a comprehensive quality strategy for statutory and regulatory content across the region. This role ensures that all content is accurate, consistent, AI‑ready, and aligned with LexisNexis' online‑first transformation. As an individual contributor, you will report to the Global Head of Legislation and work closely with Editorial Managers, Product, Technology, and global stakeholders to enhance customer experience and support the development of AI‑optimized workflows.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement a regional quality strategy that aligns with global standards and transformation initiatives.
Establish and manage uniform quality controls and checklists for statutes, administrative codes, and court rules.
Set, monitor, and report quality metrics such as accuracy, structural integrity, and error categorization to leadership.
Conduct structured audits and targeted spot checks to evaluate accuracy and structural integrity.
Analyze audit findings, error reports, and customer feedback to pinpoint systemic issues and implement effective corrective actions.
Drive the gathering of requirements and development of AI‑enabled quality tools to minimize manual errors and enhance decision‑making.
Promote online‑first workflows and ensure integration of quality checks at every stage of digital publishing.
Collaborate with technology teams to optimize AI solutions for quality assurance.
Serve as the quality subject matter expert, advising Editorial Managers and Content Leads on best practices.
Partner with cross‑functional teams to harmonize quality standards and support AI‑powered processes.
Provide comprehensive reports on quality performance, trends, and improvement initiatives at an executive level.
Develop and conduct training on quality standards, audit processes, and AI tools.
Support capacity building within editorial teams to ensure the consistent application of quality assurance frameworks.
Required Qualifications
A law degree (JD) or equivalent is highly desirable.
Minimum of 5 years in legal editorial roles focusing heavily on quality assurance and compliance.
Demonstrated experience in designing and implementing quality frameworks and audit processes.
Familiarity with AI‑driven editorial workflows and digital publishing standards.
Experience with quality management systems, audit methodologies, and error categorization.
Proficiency in XML, content management systems, and data analysis tools.
Experience with multi‑jurisdictional legislative content and global quality initiatives is a plus.
Skills and Competencies
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
Excellent communication and influencing skills across diverse, global teams.
Ability to interpret data and translate insights into actionable improvements.

Base Pay Range $65,100 - $108,500, depending on location. Geographic differentials may apply. For example, in Colorado, the base pay range is $65,100 - $108,500, while in New York City, it is $78,100 - $130,300.
