Director of Business Development
to join our clients' growing team. This role is critical to driving new business growth, expanding our client base, and building strong partnerships within the advertising, marketing, and professional services industries. This is a
hybrid role based in Chicago, IL
(3 days in office / 2 days work from home weekly). About the Role The Director of Business Development will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building a strong sales pipeline, leading sales presentations, and closing new client partnerships. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in prospecting, pitching, and closing deals, along with strong relationship-building skills. Responsibilities Identify, qualify, and prioritize potential clients through proactive outreach, networking, and industry research. Develop and execute lead generation strategies including cold calling, email campaigns, and social media outreach. Build and maintain a strong pipeline of qualified leads. Develop and deliver compelling sales presentations highlighting our agency services and value proposition. Conduct effective sales meetings and presentations to prospective clients. Relationship Management Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and industry partners. Provide exceptional customer service and exceed client expectations. Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling services. Market Analysis Stay informed on industry trends, competitive landscape, and client needs. Conduct market research to identify new business opportunities and growth areas. Track and analyze sales performance metrics. Prepare accurate and timely sales reports. Forecast future sales and revenue performance. Requirements 10+ years of experience in business development or sales, within the advertising or marketing industry. Proven track record of closing deals and exceeding sales targets. Strong understanding of the advertising and marketing landscape. Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills. Ability to build rapport and long-term client relationships. Strong organizational and time management skills. Self-motivated, results-driven professional. Experience with CRM and sales tools. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience. Additional Information Location:
