! This internship is an opportunity for someone with a technical background to flex a different kind of skill: translating complex hardware and engineering concepts into content that resonates with a highly knowledgeable, hands-on audience. About the Role

This is a summer internship (with the option to extend into the fall semester) based in San Francisco (hybrid) or remote. You'll work closely with our marketing team to produce content across formats — from blog posts and technical guides to social media and customer stories. You don't need a marketing background; what matters most is that you understand how hardware engineers think, and that you can write clearly and compellingly for them. What You'll Do

Blog & Long-Form Content:

Research and write blog posts, technical guides, how-tos, and thought leadership pieces aimed at hardware and electrical engineering audiences

Social Media:

Draft and schedule content for AllSpice's social channels (LinkedIn, X, etc.), with a focus on engaging the hardware engineering community

Technical Storytelling:

Help translate AllSpice's product capabilities and customer use cases into accessible, compelling narratives for a technical audience

Content Repurposing:

Adapt existing content across formats, such as turning a blog post into a LinkedIn thread, a webinar into a recap, or a customer story into a one-pager

Research & Ideation:

Stay current on trends in hardware development, EDA tools, and electronics engineering to surface timely, relevant content ideas

What We're Looking For

Background in hardware engineering, electrical engineering, or a related technical field

Excellent written communication skills; you can explain technical concepts clearly without losing nuance

Curiosity and enthusiasm for writing - you don't need a portfolio or formal experience, just a genuine interest in communicating ideas well

Ability to write for different formats and audiences, from a detailed technical blog post to a punchy LinkedIn caption

Self-motivated and comfortable working with light direction on creative projects

Bonus Points

Hands-on experience with PCB design, CAD tools, or hardware development workflows

Familiarity with tools like KiCad, Altium, or similar EDA software

Any prior writing experience (technical documentation, a personal blog, academic writing, or social media content)

Interest in startups, developer tools, or the future of hardware development
