The Director of Cloud Data Engineering is responsible for leading the strategic direction and execution of cloud data platforms. This role collaborates with the Executive Director of the Cloud Center for Enablement (CC4E) and involves leading all aspects of the engineers delivering cloud data technologies and business intelligence consisting of Snowflake, Power BI, Sigma, Looker, and AWS QuickSight. The Director will work closely with multi-functional teams to deliver innovative cloud data solutions that meet critical technology, security, and business requirements. Your Primary Responsibilities
Provide experienced leadership in developing and implementing cloud data strategies. Coordinate the implementation of cloud data platform, ensuring scalability and security while aligned with business goals. Facilitate meetings with business partners and technology teams to build consensus and make solution decisions without compromising delivery and/or service. Assist enterprise architecture, service management, security, and risk teams in creating technical standards, identifying and mitigating risks, and driving solutions for the enterprise. Create, modify, and adapt solutions to keep the organization aligned between business requirements and technology capabilities. Provide foresight into potential future technology trends or issues that will affect the organization and develop mitigation plans to address them. Work as a liaison to teams providing standards and platforms for future application development and help develop team members to apply the technologies. Align existing application portfolios to cloud data standards and services. Be a highly motivated and active technology leader within multiple work streams and manage deliveries across multiple projects. Review and evaluate new technologies that could be beneficial to the enterprise. Analyze problems, define solutions, and articulate them clearly to all levels of the organization, from senior leadership to professional staff. Stay abreast of business, operational, and technology trends that may affect the portfolio and strategy. Align the products and services offered by Cloud Data Engineering with the needs of its enterprise customers and leadership. Provide ongoing onboarding, training, and organizational change to ensure the organization successfully navigates and embraces the move to cloud data. Ensure that the senior leadership team is aligned and committed to moving to cloud data, setting clear direction and expectations. Develop and implement a cloud data operating model that aligns business and IT capabilities, processes, and workforce to achieve strategic business outcomes. Minimum of 10 years of related experience Bachelor's degree preferred and/or equivalent experience Talents Needed For Success
10+ years of experience in technology management and implementation of highly scalable, highly available solutions and services 5+ years of experience with Public Cloud Data and Business Intelligence Technologies improving IaaS, PaaS, SaaS Certified in Cloud Technologies (Snowflake, AWS, Azure, GCP), TOGAF, and ITIL certifications Demonstrated experience with cloud-based technologies in an enterprise computing environment (AWS, Azure, GCP, Snowflake, Power BI) Experience creating a platform as a product to be consumed by application and technology teams Understanding of Software Development Lifecycle Methodologies and delivery processes (Agile, Scrum, Kanban) Knowledge of ITSM practices (Incident, Problem Management, CMDB, Organizational Change) Strong organizational, task, and project management skills Ability to work across diverse technical and non-technical teams Proven DevOps expertise, including automation and continuous delivery models Demonstrable record of design and implementation of scalable, reliable, secure, and high-performance organizations Note: The salary range is indicative for roles at the same level within DTCC across all US locations.
