Overview The Director, Tech Solutions and Enablement owns the Tech Solutions and Enablement portfolio, heavily focused on driving experimentation and innovation in Member Technology. The role blends hands‑on technical leadership with cross‑functional collaboration to explore and evaluate new solutions using technologies such as AI and automation. Partners closely with Customer Experience, Data, Security, Club Technology, and Tech Operations to identify priorities and develop initial solutions that can be handed off to Product Engineering for scaling. As a senior member of a growing team, the Director shapes culture through indirect technology leadership, direct people management, and by setting an innovation “flywheel” for the team. The position follows a hybrid schedule requiring in‑person work at our Boston, MA or Hampton, NH offices (M/T/W onsite, TH/F optional work‑from‑home). Candidates must reside within commuting distance of one of these locations; full remote work is not available.
Responsibilities
Lead multiple innovation initiatives in the Member Technology space, providing technical expertise, hands‑on contributions, and oversight of problem/solution exploration.
Define a repeatable methodology for identifying, prioritizing, building, and evaluating solutions in new and innovative ways.
Introduce new technology patterns, including AI and automation applications, to address longstanding challenges.
Apply AI in development and delivery activities and share learnings across the team, department, and organization.
Develop and review delivery plans that leverage cutting‑edge technologies to exceed expectations.
Mobilize cross‑functional teams to execute innovation plans, considering value‑stream mapping and ROI.
Continuously manage feasibility risks and collaborate to resolve them throughout technology exploration.
Gain the trust of Product Engineering leaders by delivering user‑centric, business‑centric solutions with a focus on production and scale.
Collaborate across functions to identify and address dependencies during technology solution development.
Define and articulate the long‑term technical vision and strategy across multiple initiatives.
Serve as a trusted technical advisor and decision‑maker for complex technology choices, adopting an incremental mindset.
Mentor and guide the team, fostering skill growth, innovation, and effectiveness.
Represent technology innovation to executive leadership and external stakeholders as a technical ambassador.
Champion best practices in AI architecture, implementation, and evaluation, including AI‑powered delivery capabilities.
Cultivate a high‑performance technology culture based on trust, collaboration, inclusivity, and accountability.
Mentor and grow the next generation of technical leaders within the organization.
Promote a culture of continuous learning, experimentation, and technical excellence.

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a related field (Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Management Information Systems, etc.) or equivalent work experience.
10+ years of software delivery and technology integration experience, with 5+ years leading multiple cross‑functional teams.
Extensive experience in rapid development of technology solutions, especially practical applications of AI, including early‑stage strategic initiatives, planning, discovery, and prototyping.
Hands‑on experience with GenAI platforms and frameworks (e.g., AWS Bedrock, Amazon Lex, GCP Vertex AI, LangChain, LangGraph).
Expert‑level experience validating solutions that address critical user needs and deliver significant ROI, with a player‑coach approach.
Deep knowledge and practical experience integrating AI into complex applications and services.
Exceptional analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to tackle ambiguous problems and make data‑driven decisions.
Strong attention to detail, efficient organization, and ability to establish priorities and objectives.
Excellent presentation and communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively across all organizational levels.
Ability to build and maintain collaborative relationships with diverse individuals, internally and externally.
