Account Manager - Tork (Columbus, Ohio) Essity is looking for an experienced

Account Manager

to focus on large end‑user development, work with district distribution partners, retain and grow existing business, pursue new multi‑segment opportunities, and collaborate with internal departments on supply chain, merchandising, pricing and sales & marketing. The Account Manager operates with clear guidance from the Regional Manager and executes on priorities defined by Commercial Planning. Responsibilities include creating strong relationships with designated distributors, proactively retaining existing business, and building shared profitable growth with current and new distribution partners.

This will be a remote position responsible for covering Central and Northern Ohio.

The ideal candidate should live in the Columbus area with the ability to travel often.

What You Will Do

Plan and develop strong relationships and TORK competence with distribution partners. Execute clear communication, following Essity Commercial Planning directives and overall BU directives to ensure targets are met regarding distribution partner satisfaction, retention, and profitable growth.

Negotiate with distribution partners in sales district. Create and execute distribution business plans.

Hold business reviews and take a proactive approach in driving cross‑selling and upselling in existing accounts.

Translate sales plans into operational sales activities per customer/account according to Sales Manager and Commercial Planning guidelines. Monitor and adjust sales activities on a regular basis so that objectives are met.

Pursue sales leads provided from Essity and distributor partner by building a strong distribution partnership.

Ensure DSR has outstanding knowledge and understanding of Essity products and hygiene solutions.

Actively cooperate with Segment sales to support End Customer wins.

Deliver on agreed sales targets and sales KPIs with designated distribution partners.

Act as the first line of response for day‑to‑day business matters and respond to customer enquiries.

Execute on product mix, hygiene solutions, strategic product mix, which contributes to profitability, profitable growth, retention/churn according to agreed goals and sales targets.

Position TORK as the partner of choice and preferred brand with distribution partners in the sales district. Continuously build market knowledge and respond to sales leads, customer feedback, and competitor information.

Secure and actively develop own sales competence such as in sales & business systems, sales techniques, analytics, customer, product and hygiene solutions, and organizational/administrative competence.

Secure strong own competence and actively develop leadership competence according to Essity Leadership platform “Leading Self”.

Who You Are

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales or Marketing. Experience in lieu of education will be considered.

3‑5 years of sales experience; 2‑3 years of account management.

Must have leading technical capabilities to work in a blended selling role and strong CRM experience; with technical competencies such as omni‑channels, trends in eCommerce, and digital sales communication.

Ability to work virtually with customers and internal teams.

Experience using MS Office, MS Teams and LinkedIn Sales Navigator.

Proficient in presenting virtual presentations via online platforms such as Microsoft Teams.

Experience working with CRM systems (i.e. Microsoft Dynamics) preferred.

Proven negotiating, persuasion and influencing skills.

Demonstrated ability to seek out, identify, qualify and capture revenue opportunities to achieve short and long‑term strategic goals.

Financial, business and technical acumen, excellent communication skills.

Ability to travel up to 60%; approximately 1‑2 overnights a month.
