Growth Marketing Manager

Oath, New York, NY, United States

Growth Marketing Manager Location: NYC (3 days / week in office) Employment type: Full time Reports To: CEO Start Date: April 1

About Oath: Oath is a donor advising platform that empowers donors of all giving capacities to target campaigns and organizations based on the issues that matter most to them. Oath analyzes thousands of elections from President to school board to find where dollars are needed most and makes it easy to contribute. Oath’s proprietary algorithm helps users give more strategically and has transformed how downballot races are funded.

Position Overview: Oath is seeking an experienced Growth Marketing Manager to lead our retention and donor experience strategy. This role is responsible for designing sophisticated lifecycle journeys that deepen relationships with supporters, increase lifetime value (LTV), and reduce churn through thoughtful, personalized communication rather than high‑volume campaign blasts.

The ideal candidate combines lifecycle marketing expertise, marketing automation architecture, and data storytelling to deliver meaningful experiences that strengthen long‑term donor trust. You will work cross functionally with data, product, and community teams to translate behavioral insights into dynamic communication journeys that make every Oath supporter feel understood and valued.

Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future employer sponsorship. Candidates may be required to complete an in‑person interview in NYC before any offers are made.

Key Responsibilities: Donor Lifecycle & Retention:

Own and execute lifecycle marketing strategies that increase donor lifetime value (LTV) and reduce churn

Design personalized donor journeys that build long‑term relationships through relevant, high‑value content rather than high‑frequency mass communications

Develop segmentation strategies based on supporter behavior, interests, engagement history, and giving patterns

Continuously test and optimize lifecycle campaigns to improve retention, engagement, and repeat giving

HubSpot Automation & Journey Architecture:

Architect and manage advanced HubSpot lifecycle workflows, including multi‑branch and behavior‑triggered journeys

Design dynamic “choose your own adventure” automation flows where user behavior (e.g., clicks, issue interests, donation history) triggers tailored next steps

Implement personalization using dynamic content blocks, behavioral triggers, and automated segmentation

Ensure lifecycle workflows are scalable, maintainable, and aligned with overall growth objectives

Data-Driven Storytelling:

Partner closely with the data team to transform user data into compelling narratives and personalized communications

Use behavioral segmentation to automatically deliver relevant content—for example, ensuring a climate‑focused donor receives climate‑specific recommendations

Pivot strategy based on key engagement metrics such as open rate, click‑through rate, repeat donation rate, and churn

Trust-Based Communication Strategy:

Champion a privacy‑first, trust-centered communication approach

Prioritize deliverability, sender reputation, and long‑term growth

Develop lifecycle messaging that reduces “urgency fatigue” and focuses on value‑driven engagement

Ensure communications are transparent, relevant, and aligned with supporter expectations

Requirements:

4+ years of experience in consumer marketing, retention, CRM Marketing, and/or Growth Marketing

Advanced experience with HubSpot, particularly workflow automation, behavioral segmentation, and dynamic content

Experience building multi‑branch, behavior‑triggered automation journeys

Demonstrated success increasing customer or donor lifetime value (LTV) and reducing churn

Strong experience building lifecycle programs focused on relationship-building rather than high‑volume email blasts

Experience designing and executing complex marketing automation workflows

Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate behavioral data into actionable lifecycle strategies

Excellent written communication and storytelling skills

Bonus Points, but Not Required:

Experience working with political, nonprofit, advocacy, or other mission-driven organizations

Familiarity with email deliverability best practices and sender reputation management

Salary range: $110-140k

Benefits:

Comprehensive health benefits

Flexible time off

Equity package

Employer-matched retirement plan
