What You’ll Do
Own the full sales cycle from prospecting through close for hedge funds, PE firms, credit funds, long‑only asset managers, and corporate strategy teams.
Build and manage your own pipeline through outbound prospecting, personal network activation, conference attendance, and strategic relationship development.
Run compelling product demos tailored to each buyer’s investment workflow—translating platform capabilities into concrete ROI (time saved, higher‑signal research, budget efficiency vs. expert networks).
Navigate complex institutional buying processes involving portfolio managers, directors of research, CIOs, legal, compliance, and procurement.
Manage trials and proof‑of‑concept engagements, driving adoption and conversion within target accounts.
Provide direct customer feedback to the product and engineering teams to inform the roadmap.
Contribute to building the sales playbook, messaging frameworks, battle cards, and CRM hygiene standards as a founding member of the GTM team.
Represent Qualitate at industry conferences and events (e.g., investment conferences, fintech events, data and analytics summits).
Who You Are
3–7 years of closing experience in a quota-carrying role selling software, data, or technology products to financial services firms—specifically hedge funds, PE, credit, and/or long‑only asset managers.
You have an existing network of investment professionals that you can activate from day one. You know how to get meetings with PMs, analysts, and directors of research without relying on marketing or SDRs.
You deeply understand the investment research workflow—how funds source ideas, build conviction, and allocate capital—and can articulate how Qualitate fits into that process.
You have experience selling into skeptical, analytically rigorous buyers who are allergic to hype and demand proof of value before signing.
You’re comfortable with short sales cycles (weeks, not quarters) and iterative, demo‑driven selling motions.
You’ve thrived in early‑stage or high‑growth environments where the playbook didn’t exist yet and you had to figure things out on your own.
You can clearly articulate product value in terms of buyer outcomes, not feature lists.
Bonus Points
Background in equity research, investment banking, or the buy‑side before moving into sales.
Experience selling alt data, research tools, or workflow software to institutional investors.
Familiarity with expert networks and the competitive landscape Qualitate is disrupting.
Experience at a pre‑Series A or Series A company where you were one of the first salespeople.
