Role: Senior Database Developer with Azure

Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain Azure SQL / SQL Server databases to support enterprise grade applications
Develop and optimize T SQL, stored procedures, functions, views, and indexes
Ensure database performance, scalability, availability, and data integrity
Partner closely with application developers to support backend and full stack features
Implement and manage database deployments using PowerShell and automated release pipelines
Support CI/CD workflows using Azure DevOps and GitHub
Perform schema versioning, migration, partitioning, and release coordination across environments
Troubleshoot production issues and perform performance tuning and root cause analysis
Enforce database security, access controls, and best practices
Act with integrity, professionalism, and personal responsibility to uphold KPMG’s respectful and courteous work environment
Qualifications:
8+ years of recent, strong experience as a
Senior Database Developer
Advanced expertise in
SQL Server / Azure SQL
Strong T SQL development skills (stored procedures, indexing, query optimization)
Experience with
Azure hosted databases
and cloud-based architectures; solid experience working with
Azure DevOps pipelines
and GitHub for version control
Hands on experience with PowerShell for database deployment and automation
Solid understanding of
database design principles and data modeling
Experience supporting applications built on .NET / C# (backend integration)
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
