Showroom Design & Sales Consultant A luxury stone and tile showroom in Short Hills is seeking a talented and highly motivated Design & Sales Consultant to join our team. This role is ideal for someone with a strong eye for design who enjoys working closely with homeowners, interior designers, architects, and builders on high-end residential projects. As a showroom consultant, you will guide clients through the selection and specification process for premium tile and stone, translating design concepts into detailed material selections and layouts. Our showroom represents some of the most respected tile and stone manufacturers in the industry and collaborates closely with leading designers, architects, and builders throughout the region. We pride ourselves on delivering a boutique, concierge-level experience for every client, from the initial consultation through final installation. Key Responsibilities: Provide an elevated showroom experience for both retail and trade clients Meet and exceed individual sales goals through strong client relationships Consult with homeowners, designers, architects, and contractors on tile and stone selections Design and draft tile layouts using AutoCAD Translate design concepts into detailed material boards Prepare detailed project estimates and quotations Generate contracts, orders, and purchase orders associated with projects Maintain organized client files and provide timely follow-up on quotes and inquiries Build long-term relationships with designers, architects, and builders Participate in industry networking events and showroom-hosted gatherings Maintain strong product knowledge and stay informed on design trends and installation methods Collaborate with team members to deliver a seamless client experience Qualifications: Previous Experience in Retail Sales (Design Related) Background in tile/stone industry, interior design or architecture - Non Negotiable Proficiency with AutoCAD Proficiency in Microsoft Office Strong client communication and presentation skills Exceptional attention to detail Excellent organizational and time management abilities Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a deadline-driven environment Portfolio or examples of past design projects, tile layouts, or completed interiors Why Our Designers Love Working Here: Work on high-end residential projects with leading designers and architects Collaborative showroom environment focused on design excellence and client service Opportunity to build long-term relationships within the design and construction community Exposure to premium tile and stone collections from top manufacturers Creative role that blends design consultation, project management, and sales Commission on showroom sales Performance-based bonuses Position Details: Full-time position Saturdays required Located in Short Hills, NJ
