We seek an experienced
Senior Liability Adjuster – Medical Professional
to manage nursing home E&O, medical malpractice, and other professional liability claims. Responsibilities include investigating coverage, liability, damages, negotiating settlements, managing claims portfolios, establishing reserves, and preparing reports. Strong analytical, communication skills, and proactive approach are essential. Key Responsibilities
Negotiate and settle claims related to nursing home E&O, medical malpractice, and professional liability Prepare status reports for clients Interpret policy contracts and coverage Plan and prioritize responsibilities under deadlines Attend mediations and settlement conferences Manage defense counsel to settle litigated claims Provide strategy and monetary authority to counsel Stay informed on relevant laws and regulations Evaluate and resolve claims efficiently Perform other duties as assigned Requirements
5-7 years of experience handling E&O and medical malpractice claims Adjuster’s License (NY license preferred or willingness to obtain) Juris Doctor or Bar membership a plus Skills in coverage analysis, risk transfer, litigation, and vendor management Excellent communication, time management, and multi-tasking abilities Detail-oriented with strong decision-making and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently and collaboratively Discretion with sensitive information Benefits
