Deputy Director Securities & Retail Franchising
Anticipated Starting Salary Range: $131,331 - $150,000
Starting Salary Commensurate with Qualifications and Experience
The Virginia State Corporation Commissions (SCC) Securities and Retail Franchising Division (SRF) seeks a talented leader and advisor to serve as Deputy Director. Subject to Division Director oversight, the candidate selected for this position will provide strategic direction and manage senior staff; provide leadership, training, and staff development; and provide advanced technical guidance to the managers of the SRF audit and investigations sections.
Responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
Reviewing and analyzing laws and rules.
Directing and conducting special studies and investigations.
Meeting with staff on more complex issues.
Reviewing reports and making recommendations.
Participating in meetings and working groups of the North American Securities Administrators Association.
Presenting information concerning existing or proposed legislation to legislators and other interested parties.
Communicating both directly and through prepared communications with regulated entities, legislators, and consumers.
Public presentations and some travel are required.
This position offers a hybrid work schedule (some in-office and telework days each week).
