About the role The Sales Strategy Analyst is responsible for providing support to the Commercial Sales Strategy team and helping to execute and advocate for programs. This cross‑functional support role creates reports both independently and in conjunction with the BI team. This role drives the accuracy of reporting and analyzes/prepares presentations while maintaining confidentiality of business‑critical records. The role supports Commercial Sales leaders within the designated organization and is jointly managed by the Manager of Strategic Analytics and the Director of Strategy. Strong reporting and analytical skills are required.
Focus on enabling sales team in book management, solution selling, and client engagement
Assist in managing account disputes and the analysis required to effectively aid in making decisions surrounding account conflict
Expected to develop a thorough understanding of the financial commit process
Assist in developing protocols, communication, and strategy surrounding book management
Use third‑party resources and internal resources to develop reports that enable sales leaders, SOS, and BDM teams
Analyze reporting to find opportunities within the solution areas/focus accounts and effectively communicate findings to support teams (high priority lists, cross‑referencing data sets, HPI healthcare certifications, and GPO data integration)
Understand Power BI reporting and can articulate and teach sales leadership how to effectively utilize Insight BI reporting tools and structure
Distribute both scheduled and “ad‑hoc” reporting
Assist with ensuring optimal book sizes are met and help with mass account transitions between inner GTM teams
Follow the standard process of implementing ITAM whitespace accounts
List preparation and distribution
Assist in setting up the presentation materials for executive presentations
Ability to present strategic materials to manager level and above
Coordinate business calendar for meetings, events, and schedules
Minimal travel may be required
Other duties as assigned

What we're looking for
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Preferred educational backgrounds include: Analytics, Economics, Business Administration, Business Analytics, Finance, Statistics
Minimum of 1 year of professional experience in an applicable role with business analysis, reporting, and list preparation. Experience working with sales and sales teams is preferred.

Ability to gather and analyze data, assist and advise others with technical knowledge of area of responsibility (SAP, EDI, Web, etc.) for the day‑to‑day management and improving sales results

Ability to multitask and balance multiple priorities
Excellent time‑management skills
Strong collaboration skills
Strong computer skills (MS Office, particularly PowerPoint/Excel/MS Teams, Visio); Power BI, Client Link, SMART, D&B, Hoovers
