The Impact You'll Make Danfoss Power Solutions is seeking a high-performing
Account Manager
to drive profitable growth and expand strategic relationships across our
distribution channel
in the
Great Lakes region . This role is ideal for a commercially driven sales professional with experience in
fluid power, hydraulics, motion control, industrial distribution, or technical sales
who thrives in a customer-facing environment and knows how to turn complex solutions into business value.
As the primary field sales representative for assigned channel partners and strategic accounts, you will lead sales growth, strengthen distributor relationships, uncover new opportunities, and position Danfoss as a trusted solutions partner. This role reports to the
Aftermarket Leader for Multi-Divisional Distribution Partners
and requires regular travel throughout the region. The ideal candidate will live in IL, MI, OH, IN or KY.
What You’ll Be Doing
Drive
profitable sales growth
across assigned distribution partners and strategic accounts in the Great Lakes region
Identify, develop, and win new business opportunities while protecting and growing existing business
Build strong relationships with distributor partners, end users, and key internal stakeholders
Use a consultative sales approach to uncover customer needs, address objections, and position
Danfoss Power Solutions
products and system-based solutions effectively
Develop and execute account plans, growth strategies, and pipeline‑building activities that support annual sales objectives
Partner with channel organizations to coordinate sales initiatives, customer engagement plans, and market development efforts
What We're Looking For
Bachelor’s degree in
Business, Engineering , or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and relevant industry experience
3+ years of experience in
technical sales, industrial sales, fluid power, hydraulics, electronics, automation, motion control, or a related industry
Demonstrated ability to grow revenue, manage customer relationships, and develop sales pipelines in a B2B environment
Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to connect technical product capabilities to commercial value
Ability to work cross-functionally and build credibility with internal teams, distribution partners, and customers
Experience using a
CRM system , preferably Salesforce or similar tools
Willingness and ability to travel up to
50%
within the assigned territory
