About the Role: We are seeking an experienced Director of Product Software Engineering to lead and inspire a team dedicated to advancing our software engineering capabilities. In this pivotal role, you will oversee and drive the performance of your area, ensuring that all engineering activities are aligned with our strategic business goals. You will steer major projects and technological innovations, playing a vital role in propelling our company forward.

Key Responsibilities: As our Director, you will:

Shape Strategy & Leadership:

Provide visionary leadership and develop strategic roadmaps for developer enablement and infrastructure engineering while ensuring alignment with business objectives.

Lead Developer Enablement:

Direct a team that manages the platform for releasing container-based software to Kubernetes, developing service level agreements (SLAs) and defining promotion workflows.

Build Infrastructure & SRE Teams:

Establish and develop a new core team for infrastructure engineering and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), defining roles and growth paths.

Implement Governance & Compliance:

Define and enforce release governance and change management controls integrated into platform tooling, in partnership with the Security, Risk, and Compliance teams.

Enhance Developer Experience:

Drive the adoption of AI Developer Tools to optimize speed to market and minimize developer friction.

Qualifications: To succeed in this role, you should have:

A Bachelor's Degree in a related field and substantial experience in product software engineering.

A minimum of 9 years in product software engineering or platform/SRE leadership roles.

Strong people management experience and the ability to thrive in matrixed environments.

A passion for AI and technical competence in platform engineering and architecture.

Preferred Skills:

Hands-on experience with Kubernetes at scale, GitOps, and CI/CD at the enterprise level.

Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and policy-as-code principles.

Knowledge of observability platforms and incident management practices.

Work Conditions:

Travel: 20%

Work Arrangement: Hybrid onsite in the WK posted locations.

Compensation: We offer a competitive salary range of $151,700.00 - $270,950.00 USD, with eligibility for bonuses.
