
Sr. Director, Reporting & Analytics

Position Summary
The Senior Director, Reporting & Analytics provides strategic and operational leadership for Accuity’s client reporting and reimbursement analytics functions. This role is responsible for ensuring the delivery of accurate, timely, and actionable reporting while also serving as a senior subject matter expert during client onboarding and complex reimbursement discussions.
This individual will personally engage with clients and prospects to interpret hospital base rates, clarify Diagnostic Related Group (DRG) classifications (e.g., per diem vs. DRG-based reimbursement, in-scope vs. out-of-scope), and address complex reimbursement‑related questions during preliminary and ongoing client meetings. The role requires both executive-level leadership and deep, hands‑on expertise in hospital reimbursement methodologies.
Client Onboarding & Reimbursement Expertise
Personally engage with newly signed clients and prospects to interpret hospital base rates and reimbursement methodologies
Clarify DRG/Payor classifications (e.g., per diem vs. DRG-based reimbursement, compile in‑scope vs. out‑of‑scope determinations)
Translate contractual terms into operational reporting structure
Client Reporting & Performance Oversight
Oversee the compilation and delivery of client reporting packages, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and consistency across engagements
Lead the preparation of analytical tools and supporting materials to assist Client Success in explaining monthly reporting fluctuations
Provide executive‑level interpretation of performance trends, including case mix shifts (e.g., med/surg volume changes), seasonality impacts, reimbursement mix, and operational improvements
Analyze and articulate the drivers behind performance variability, including CDI program maturation, coding education impacts, query adoption trends, and documentation improvement initiatives
Serve as the escalation point for complex or sensitive client questions regarding financial performance and reimbursement outcomes
Ensure alignment between contractual reimbursement methodologies and reporting logic
Team Leadership & Development
Lead and mentor a team responsible for compiling and delivering client reporting packages
Establish quality control standards and review processes to ensure analytical rigor and reporting accuracy
Foster a culture of accountability, curiosity, and continuous improvement within the reporting team
Develop team capability to proactively identify performance trends and answer complex client questions
Education
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Healthcare or related field required
Master’s Degree in Business, Finance, Healthcare or related field preferred
HFMA certification preferred
Position Qualifications
10+ years revenue cycle experience in reimbursement/revenue management required
5-8+ years demonstrated management and leadership experience required
5+ years of strategic and consultative management experience preferred
Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
Deep understanding of healthcare industry trends, reimbursement regulations, and evolving payment methodologies
Advanced expertise in hospital revenue cycle operations, DRG reimbursement logic, and base rate construction
Strong analytical capability with the ability to interpret complex data sets and identify trends, anomalies, inconsistencies, and performance shifts
Ability to translate reimbursement and performance data into clear, actionable insights for both internal stakeholders and executive‑level client audiences
Demonstrated ability to analyze and explain monthly performance fluctuations, including case mix changes, seasonality, reimbursement mix, and CDI program impacts
Executive presence and confidence in leading complex reimbursement discussions with clients and prospects
Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and initiatives in a fast‑paced, client‑driven environment
Strong leadership skills with the ability to both guide a team and contribute directly when technical depth is required
Highly self‑directed and motivated, with strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail
Ability to build and maintain complex, cross‑functional relationships
Expert proficiency in Excel and advanced analytical tools; experience with business intelligence platforms preferred
Comfortable operating in a remote work environment
