Role Overview We are seeking a dedicated

Volunteer Pro Bono Grant Writer

to support our mission by identifying funding opportunities and preparing compelling grant proposals. This is a great opportunity for an experienced writer—or an emerging grant professional—to contribute meaningfully to an organization making a measurable difference in the lives of women and girls of color.

Key Responsibilities

Research federal, state, foundation, and corporate grant opportunities aligned with WOCOTM programs

Write, edit, and submit grant letters of intent (LOIs), full proposals, and reports

Maintain grants calendar and meet internal submission timelines

Collaborate with CEO/Founder and Executive Director and program leads to gather needed program information

Assist in developing budgets and supporting documentation for grant applications

Track submitted grants and outcomes

Support grant compliance and reporting requirements (as needed)

Qualifications

Strong writing, editing, and research skills

Previous experience with grant writing preferred, but not required

Ability to work independently and meet deadlines

Passion for equity, advocacy, and community empowerment

Highly organized with attention to detail

Familiarity with nonprofit funding a plus
