Our client, a highly regarded and fast-growing PR and marketing agency, is seeking a

Director of New Business & Proposals

to join their expanding growth team. This role sits at the center of new business development, partnering closely with leadership, creative, and account teams to bring ideas to life through compelling, client-ready proposals.

across beauty, wellness, and lifestyle (think brands similar to Olaplex, Drybar, and Supergoop), within an agency known for its strong culture and creative environment.

Salary:

$120K (flexible based on experience)

Location:

NYC – Hybrid (2 days/week onsite)

Week off between Christmas and New Year’s

Position Overview This role focuses on translating creative ideas and strategic thinking into polished, high-impact proposals. You will own the development of new business decks from start to finish—structuring narratives, drafting content, and ensuring each presentation clearly communicates the agency’s capabilities and point of view.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, an excellent writer, and someone who enjoys turning complex ideas into clear, compelling stories.

Key Responsibilities

Own and drive the full RFP process, managing timelines and ensuring all deadlines are met

Partner with leadership and creative teams to develop ideas and shape proposal narratives

Lead development of proposal decks from concept through final delivery, ensuring clarity, flow, and strong storytelling

Collaborate with account teams across multiple divisions to gather inputs and build cohesive presentations

Manage multiple proposals simultaneously in a fast-paced environment

Track proposal outcomes and continuously improve templates, capabilities decks, and case studies

Support broader new business and growth initiatives, with opportunity to contribute to existing client strategies

Qualifications

8+ years of experience within a

PR agency environment

Direct experience managing

RFP processes and new business proposals

Strong writing and editing skills with the ability to translate ideas into clear, engaging narratives

Excellent presentation skills and experience building decks in

PowerPoint and/or Canva

Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities and timelines

Comfortable working cross-functionally with creative, account, and leadership teams
