The Human Resources Business Partner will act as a key HR leader supporting site leadership and employees across several clinical research locations. This person will be both strategic and hands-on, helping with employee relations, compliance, performance support, manager coaching, and workforce planning. The role is based onsite in the Greater Los Angeles area and is best suited for someone who is confident handling complex people issues while partnering closely with operational leaders. RESPONSIBILITIES
Serve as the main HR partner for leaders and employees across multiple sites, providing day-to-day support and guidance Support the employee lifecycle including onboarding, performance management, employee relations, engagement, and offboarding Advise managers on policy interpretation, coaching conversations, conflict resolution, and team development Lead or support employee relations investigations and help resolve sensitive issues fairly, consistently, and in compliance with employment laws Partner with leadership on workforce planning, organizational needs, retention efforts, and HR-related process improvements Help drive a positive, accountable, and inclusive workplace culture while supporting broader HR projects and change initiatives QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field At least 5 years of progressive HR experience, ideally in a multi-site environment Strong expertise in California employment law and HR compliance requirements Proven employee relations experience, including investigations and conflict resolution Strong communication, coaching, and relationship-building skills across all levels of an organization Experience in healthcare or clinical research is a plus; PHR or SHRM-CP certification is also preferred
