Hiring: Traveling Superintendent
Boen Kemp Construction is looking for a
true Traveling Superintendent
to lead field operations across multiple markets. This is not a sit‑back role. We’re looking for someone who can step onto a jobsite, take ownership, lead from the front, and get work across the finish line the right way. What You’ll Be Responsible For
Leading day‑to‑day field operations on commercial construction projects Coordinating subcontractors, vendors, inspections, and deliveries Driving the schedule and communicating progress with the project team Enforcing safety standards and jobsite expectations Reviewing plans and specs to ensure quality installation Managing daily reports, documentation, and punch lists Identifying and solving field issues before they impact the job Leading project closeout and turnover What We’re Looking For
Proven experience as a commercial construction superintendent Ability to run projects independently with limited oversight Strong understanding of sequencing, safety, and quality control Ability to read and interpret plans, specs, and schedules Strong communication with owners, architects, PMs, and subs Organized and consistent with documentation and reporting Willingness to travel extensively Preferred Experience
Ground‑up commercial work (retail, restaurant, industrial, etc.) Experience working in multiple markets Familiarity with Procore, Bluebeam, or similar tools Minimum 4+ years of relevant experience Travel Expectations
This role requires travel across active project locations, with extended stays as needed to successfully deliver the work. Why This Role Matters
