Director of Accounting

Overview
Quatrro Business Support Services is currently searching for an experienced remote-based Director of Accounting for their Not-for-Profit division. As the Director of Accounting, you will service the accounting needs of multiple Quatrro nonprofit clients in the social justice, advocacy, arts and culture, and community and economic development areas. You will also set a clear vision for the development of client relationships by establishing and executing a client relationship strategy that allows the client to achieve their financial goals and objectives.
Responsibilities
Deliver scheduled financial statements, providing coaching and counseling to business owners and operations managers in order to help improve margins and impact their bottom line. Discuss monthly financial statements, plans, and schedules as applicable with the client.
Prepare for year-end audit and tax requirements
Manage budgeting and cash flow projections
Manage the client day-to-day interaction
Work closely with clients to solve issues related to complicated financial statement situations. Monitor finances to aid clients functioning within those guidelines, and provide financial analysis and advice to clients.
Provide best practices by leveraging different functions within Quatrro to help the client improve their business execution.
Execute negotiated contract terms and scope to ensure financial profitability for the existing client portfolio.
Deal with client concerns and issues to ensure they are addressed in a timely manner and to client satisfaction. Escalate any issues as needed to the management team promptly to ensure client satisfaction.
Build and maintain relationships by gaining insights into the client business to become a trusted advisor, laying the groundwork to sell additional Quatrro products and services to the client.
Provide executive-level partnership by presenting Quarterly Business Reviews (QBR) in conjunction with the division AVP, if applicable. Participate in the client's Board or other executive-level meetings as requested.
Qualifications
4-year degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business with an Accounting/Finance focus
10-15 years of experience, mostly in the nonprofit sector in a Director of Finance or Controller role
Business acumen and ability to communicate with individual owners, ownership groups, and C-level executives
Not-for-Profit GAAP-based accounting; experience with related multi-entity accounting is a plus
Responsiveness, relationship development, and presentation skills
Experience with personal computers, specifically Microsoft Word and Excel
