Job Summary As a key driver in our overall organic growth, retention is a top priority. We are seeking an experienced sales and/or retention specialist to lead Compass Group’s account retention efforts through strategic engagement with clients, operators and field support. Reporting to the Vice President of Sales, the Regional Sales Director – Retention will be responsible for retention and rebid efforts in our Corporate Services division with a primary focus on delivering winning proposals and solutions. The position is remote with an expectation of up to 50% travel.
We offer a significant six‑figure earning potential with a base salary and commissions—uncapped! Commissions and benefits include: annual bonus payouts, 401(k), expense account, company car, paid vacation, and proactive learning & development opportunities for internal mobility.
Responsibilities
Work with existing clients and operators to assess current operations and identify opportunities for successful retention of critical contracts.
Identify necessary support resources to bring new and ongoing innovation to current clients.
Lead rebid strategy sessions, collaborating with cross‑functional teams to develop solutions that resonate with clients and add value.
Collaborate with creative teams to develop custom sales proposals and meet RFP requirements.
Communicate effectively across the organization, both horizontally and vertically.
Execute the Compass Sales Process.
Qualifications
Minimum of three years’ experience in new business development, retention, or high‑level account management; prior experience in a similar industry preferred.
Track record of consistently exceeding sales quotas and targets.
Experience developing winning sales proposals and responding to complex RFPs.
Strong computer skills and proficiency with CRM database management systems.
Ability to represent the organization at industry and non‑industry events.
Excellent communication, presentation, and multi‑tasking skills.
High energy, positive attitude, and strong time‑management skills.
Ability to travel extensively within the assigned territory and occasionally outside of it.
Team player who wants to contribute to the success of a top‑caliber sales organization.
BA or equivalent experience.
