ABOUT THE ROLE The Tax Senior plays a key role in both client service and internal engagement management. This position provides hands‑on experience in tax compliance and consulting, exposure to diverse tax areas, and the opportunity to lead projects and mentor junior team members within a dynamic, growth‑oriented firm.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide tax compliance and consulting services across individual, corporate, and international tax areas
Lead tax engagements, including scheduling, staffing, and return completion
Perform technical tax review and research complex tax issues
Develop and maintain strong client relationships, serving as the primary contact for communication and planning opportunities>
Ensure timely preparation and review of quarterly estimates and year‑end projections
Respond to IRS and state tax notices and inquiries
Supervise, train, and mentor Tax Associates and Interns, ensuring project priorities are met and professional development goals are supported
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting
CPA license preferred; actively pursuing CPA required
Minimum of 2–3 years of experience in public accounting
Proficiency in partnership, S corporation, C corporation, and/or individual taxation
Strong technical tax research and communication skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office suite
Demonstrated ability to coach and mentor team members
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Active CPA license
Experience with tax provisions and international tax engagements
Exposure to client relationship management in a public accounting environment
