Job Summary The 1099 Multi-Family and Commercial Sales Representative is responsible for generating, developing, and closing roofing and exterior construction opportunities within multi-family and commercial properties. This role focuses on prospecting property owners, asset managers, and property management firms; conducting site walks and inspections; coordinating estimates with internal teams; and driving projects from initial contact through contract execution. The representative operates independently, manages their own pipeline, and is compensated on a commission-only basis tied directly to revenue performance.

General Responsibilities

Perform follow-up on company-generated and self-generated leads through cold calling, prospecting, and site visits

Build rapport and trust with decision-makers through professional, consultative selling

Schedule and conduct inspections, follow-up appointments, and customer meetings

Maintain a strong, consistent presence in assigned territories

Present solutions, pricing, and project scopes to close sales

Customer Experience & Brand Representation

Deliver a best-in-class, 5-star customer experience at every stage of the sales process

Communicate clearly, professionally, and consistently with decision-makers

Address customer questions and concerns promptly and elevate issues when needed

Represent the company with professionalism in the field and within local communities

Sales Process & CRM Accountability

Accurately document all sales activity, leads, inspections, and customer communications

Maintain an organized and healthy sales pipeline with timely follow-up

Adhere to established sales processes, inspection standards, and brand messaging

Ensure accuracy and completeness of customer documentation and contracts

Professional Development & Team Collaboration

Participate in training sessions and team meetings

Accept coaching and feedback to improve selling skills and performance

Collaborate with peers, sales leadership, and internal departments to support customer success

Maintain a positive, team-oriented attitude while operating independently in the field

Other duties as assigned

Requirements Minimum Qualifications:

High School Diploma and/or GED required

1–3+ years of sales experience in multi‑family and/or commercial roofing and exteriors reconstruction

Storm restoration, roofing, or home improvement sales experience strongly preferred

Strong person-to-person communication and lead generation skills

Customer-focused mindset with a competitive, results-driven approach

Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, field-based environment

Valid driver’s license with acceptable MVR; frequent field travel required

Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities

Ability to handle objections and conflict professionally and courteously

Excellent verbal, electronic, and written communication skills

Reliable, self-motivated, and accountable to daily commitments

Flexible and adaptable to changing schedules, weather conditions, and market demands

Ability to utilize technology devices, CRM systems, and basic computer applications such as Microsoft Office Suites
