Job Description The Head of Region Strategy Management Office (SMO) plays a critical role in connecting global transformation ambitions with regional execution realities. Reporting directly to the Head of Transformation Delivery (“HTD”), this position is the key interface between global transformation initiatives and regional leadership. The role leads a small, high‑performing team to support the rollout of global programs within the region, ensuring they are adapted to regional contexts and executed effectively. Acting as a facilitator and integrator, the Director brings transparency to regional needs, helps shape realistic implementation paths, and supports regional leadership in delivering against transformation goals.

Additionally, the role works closely with the Regional President to jointly navigate the successful adoption and sustained performance of global initiatives. This includes assisting with program setup, enabling change adoption, and aligning global strategy with local business and cultural nuances.

Job Duties

Bridge Global to Regional Strategy

Serve as the primary regional liaison for global transformation initiatives, ensuring regional business and cultural contexts are reflected in program delivery

Act as the voice of the region in global program design and setup phases

Facilitate mutual understanding between global teams and regional stakeholders

Enable Regional Execution of Global Programs

Drive and support the regional implementation of major global transformation programs

Establish regional roll‑out plans, dependencies, and risks in collaboration with global PMO and initiative owners

Identify and elevate execution barriers, offering practical solutions grounded in local insight

Support Regional Leadership and Regional President

Act as a lateral partner to the Regional President on matters related to global and vertical initiatives

Translate strategic priorities into actionable workstreams within the region

Provide input for regional steering and decision‑making forums

Lead Regional SMO Team

Manage and mentor a small team of transformation professionals to provide hands‑on support for initiatives

Build local capabilities to sustain transformation impact across functions and business units

Promote a culture of collaboration, accountability, and transparent communication

Program Setup & Facilitation

Guide the regional setup of new transformation programs, including governance, resource planning, and stakeholder engagement

Lead structured program onboarding processes for regional stakeholders

Facilitate alignment between regional and global transformation frameworks

Reporting & Communication

Prepare concise updates for senior regional and global audiences (e.g., dashboards, briefing packs, decision slides)

Track and report on regional progress, challenges, and outcomes in collaboration with central PMO

Ensure regional input is captured in global steering and governance forums

Job Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Economics, Engineering, or related field. Advanced degree (MBA, MSc) preferred, ideally with focus on Strategy, Transformation, or Organizational Development.

Minimum of 10+ years of relevant experience in transformation, program management, consulting, or strategic operations.

Proven track record of working in matrixed, multinational environments.

Experience leading or supporting enterprise‑wide transformation initiatives across functional or geographic boundaries.

Previous exposure to both global and regional operating contexts, ideally within regulated industries or healthcare.

Strong facilitation and communication capabilities, especially across diverse stakeholder groups.

Ability to synthesize complex issues into clear plans and executive messaging.

Expertise in program design and mobilization, governance frameworks, and stakeholder alignment.

Proficient in PowerPoint, Excel, and project management tools.

High tolerance for ambiguity and organizational complexity.

Fluent in English; additional languages relevant to the region are an advantage.

Must be able to travel internationally as needed to perform the tasks and responsibilities of role.

The anticipated base pay range for this full‑time position in this location is $151,458.00 – $212,041.00 per year, plus potential for annual bonus (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements). Olympus considers a variety of factors when determining actual compensation for this position, including level of experience, working location, and relevant education and certifications.
