Location: Chicago, IL / Hybrid (3 days in office/ 2 days work from home)

The Opportunity Lucas James Talent Partners is excited to grow our Media team—specifically our Paid Search practice. The Paid Search Senior Analyst plays a critical role at the center of our digital business, serving as a bridge between media buying and data analysis.

In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with Leadership, Client Services (and clients), Data Analytics, and Operations to plan, build, execute, and optimize paid search campaigns across a diverse portfolio of businesses. You’ll gain exposure to multiple areas of media, including media mix modeling, traditional media (TV, radio, print), social, and programmatic—while helping lead a fast-growing team.

What You’ll Do Reporting & Analysis

Monitor campaign budgets, pacing, and bid adjustments

Pull, analyze, and interpret performance data to develop actionable insights

Demonstrate mastery of core paid search metrics (CPC, CPA, CTR, SOV, weighted averages, etc.)

Campaign Creation

Build and/or QA paid search campaigns

Conduct keyword research and competitive analysis

Structure keywords into ad groups and develop relevant ad copy and extensions

Present keyword and copy recommendations and apply client feedback

Actively participate in internal and client meetings, confidently speaking to your area of ownership

Build strong working relationships with client teams and partner agencies

Collaborate closely with Managers and Associate Directors on optimizations

Participate in client status and reporting calls, including presenting performance insights

Optimization & Testing

Monitor campaign performance and competitive landscapes

Proactively recommend and implement optimizations based on performance trends

Develop and execute testing and learning agendas

Billing & Operations

Maintain accurate monthly billing processes, including invoice tracking and actualizations

What We’re Looking For

1+ years of hands‑on paid search experience

Agency or client‑side experience preferred

Expertise in Google Ads and Bing (Shopping experience and certifications strongly preferred)

Amazon Ads experience is a plus

Experience with tags, pixels, and Google Tag Manager

Strong presentation skills and comfort in a client‑facing role

Advanced analytical and mathematical skills

Ability to work with large datasets in Excel and BI tools

Startup mindset with strong attention to detail

Proactive problem‑solver with excellent communication skills

Ability to work independently and collaboratively
